Waiting list for the GT-R here is full. Not a dealer in town has an open spot on their list.

I believe I read somewhere that the waiting list for the GT-R in the islands are full. You mix the high population of asians and how people remember seeing that import GT-R at the drag strip.

We looked at the M's as well. Wife didn't want a bigger car. She hated our 5 series BMW when we had it. She likes them smaller, and the G felt a bit quicker and more nimble than the M35.

Great car though, I really like the M35 and M45.

The M class cars are great. My dad has a M45 and that thing is a beauty and power all into one.

How are you liking that Murano so far? Did you look at the FX class cars also?

Loving the Murano. Came in a little more expensive than I thought a Murano would (Just about 40k), but it's got a great ride, great fit and finish, low cabin noise, and just about every option you can get from Nissan excluding AWD.

Drove both the EX and the FX. EX was too small and lacked power. Loved the FX, but felt I got better bang for the buck with the Murano.

Yeah, the G is a little quicker and handles better than the M. But, for a big car, the M is very impressive.

Yeah they are a different car. I believe the G has 30 more horsepower and a bit more torque in a smaller package.

M45 is a rocket however. That car gets up and goes for a big car.

Imo, whether you go the G35, G37, M35, or M45 route you can't go wrong. I've become a very big fan of Infiniti.

The only thing I like with the FX version over the Murano was you get to choose between the V6 and V8.

Completely agree on the engine. I do find the VQ to be more than adequate for the car. But I'd love to have that V8 in it.

I am still not completely sold on the CVT transmission that the Murano comes with. It's very efficient at cruising speed, when I need some get up and go it's very quick to adjust. But it still sounds like a CVT. If you know what I mean.

Also looking once more at the new Maxima, the more I look the more I don't like it. Their style is going more towards the Toyota Avalon and the Lexus GS model. While the Altima is becoming the Maxima of old.

YES!!! That's exactly how I feel.

Damn I missed all the nice car talk.

I've recently begun to like Acura's cars more and more. Honda's lineup here is just terrible as they continue to rest on their name and name alone. Sure they upped the HP on the SI, but so what? They eliminated the Integra (RSX over here, through Acura) and their other models are really ugly. That new TSX... UGH. Saw it in person over the weekend and thing looks TERRIBLE. Gah. They even DROPPED the hp a bit. Go figure! The car was slow already as it is.

Didn't like the 350z's at first but the newer models are slick. Really like them. Same goes for the G35... didn't like the look of the G37. Very dull, IMO on the outside. Makes me appreciate the G35 more now. For some reason the red z's and G's are really attracting me. I try and stay away though because I know I'll drop a couple of grand on modding them... and as much fun as that is sometimes, it's equally frustrating other times...

If there was one car I would like to get but it's not the smart move for me anymore it would be the A5. HOLY **** Audi has really stepped up in the last 2 years... their cars are looking more and more impressive every year. At this point in my life I'm going to need a sedan soon so right now my options are a TL-TypeS, an MDX or MAYBE a 3 series. My only problem is I need an AM for the wife so she can drive also...

BMW's lineup is very, very nice as well. I never liked the styling of 5 and 7 series though. :o

I still have to get the pictures up from the auto-show. Hopefully they came out decent.

You don't like the styling of the Lexus GS? I know we discussed the IS a while back and I looked at it for a while, but frankly, the back seat is just too small. I test drove one with my fiance and sat in the back when she drove. I'm only 5'9 and I found it cramped. So I started looking at the GS. I think it looks a lot like the IS, but a little bit bigger.
