That sums it up for me. The end of the greatest television series I've personally ever witnessed.

And if you didn't cry like a baby in the final 30 minutes..you have no soul.

I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, but folks who missed out on Battlestar Galactica missed out on one of the great pieces of cinema ever put on a TV screen or in a movie theater.

Brilliant writing, acting, music, plot...the works from beginning to end. A Masterpiece.

For me, before this M.A.S.H. was the best series ever, with the best series finale ever. Now its number two.

What a frakkin' masterpiece.

I never thought that a show I just happened to check-out one day 'cause I saw an awards show it was nominated in a few months ago would turn-out to be the best 4 year movie I'd ever witnessed. And now, everything else just seems so second-rate compared to this overwhelmingly unnoticed (by the general viewers) yet greatly appreciated (by just about everyone who's seen it) study of the human condition -- warts and all -- entitled Battlestar Galactica.

Thanks for the wonderful ride, Galactica.

Maybe one day, we'll get to experience this again. After all, "All this has happened before, and all this will happen again."

Yep, everything else is, IMO, a full notch below BG, most things are several notches below.

Recalling my reference of M.A.S.H. earlier, it was 26 years before something was able to surpass it. It may take that long again.

They didn't answer all the questions for me. What was Starbuck? Baltar wasn't one of the final 5, so how is he living 150,000 years later?

Ron Moore said that Starbuck can be whatever we want her to be. She was resurrected for a purpose, to lead them to Earth, their end. Her mission was over so she was "called back." You can say she's an angel, guardian, whatever. An instrument for a higher-being.

As for Baltar and Six, those were the "angel" version of those two. Remember, Baltar always saw Six in his head while Six saw a Baltar in hers? They're angels, according to Baltar.

So while not everything was answered, I'm still satisfied with how everything ended. That's the way the creators wanted it to end, I'll accept it.

Some of the explanations may be hard to believe for some but hey, like Baltar said, take a leap of faith.

Un-frakkin-believable! Battlestar has been, bar none, the absolute greatest show I have ever seen. Nothing comes close. Ever since grabbing my fathers copy of season 1 a couple months ago, I have been utterly enthralled with the Battlestar universe. I always thought it looked cheesy, almost Star Wars esque before seeing any of it, but as it stands today, it is absolutely the greatest thing I have ever seen on television or the big screen.

The finale wrapped up everything perfectly for me. And yes, for the first time in as long as I can remember, I sobbed like a little girl during the final half hour of the series. So much emotion throughout the entire series, and to have it wrapped up so well, i'm having trouble even looking forward to watching my other shows now. Ever since i've started watching BG, i've given up on shows such as House and Fringe, as they just no longer held my attention.

Gonna be awful hard for another show to live up to this one folks.

Well, that was a depressing ending. I waited almost 2 weeks before finishing the last episode cause I didn't want it to end. And now its done. **Sigh**

Everyone i know ho was a BSG fan hated the ending and has sworn off the show. I was looking around and that seems to be a more popular sentiment than i would have thought.

I started thinking in season 2 or 3 about whether or not the series took place in the future or in the past, and I couldn't quite tell. When I started thinking of about the fact they had a polytheism going on, I figured it had to be way in the past. And once Starbuck started entering the jump coordinates, I knew they were gonna go to our earth and it was gonna be in the ancient times.

I loved the ending. Maybe people now who have "sworn" off the show are just bitter it's over and haven't reached the step of acceptance yet?

Wow, swearing off the show, huh? I can't really see that, but to each their own. My whole family thought of the ending as appropriate.

This show is definitely in my top 5 of all time. Nothing will ever surpass the Shield, but this got damn close!

Best TV show ever made. Period. You should watch the miniseries that started it all too. It's only available on DVD, not instant view.

You did the whole series in 2 weeks?!? I bow to you! It took me about a month to catch up to season 3 before it started, lol
