David Cross:Arrested Development movie unlikely.

Although I think it's too bad that the movie probably isn't going to happen now, I see David's point about everyone having aged and having different projects going on. It's been 4 years since FOX did the unthinkable and cancelled the show. Michael Cera is in his early 20s & so is Alia Shawkat (who I absolutely adore), while Jeffrey Tambor & Jessica Walter are both pushing 70. To spin this a positive way, my fear was always that the movie would never live up to what the TV Show was. I would hate for my last memory of this piece of Television genius to be bastardized by a movie that felt "forced". At this point what I would like most is for FOX, IFC, or whoever to have a reunion show where they get all the main characters together as well as many of the ancillary characters as they can get to just sit around and talk about the show for 60-90 minutes. As long as that happens someday, I am just fine without there being a movie.

To spin this a positive way, my fear was always that the movie would never live up to what the TV Show was. I would hate for my last memory of this piece of Television genius to be bastardized by a movie that felt "forced".

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me is the prime example of this. One of the worst movies I've ever seen, but based on an "ahead of its time" TV show.

I've started watching this series in order on Netflix, and it's definitely in my top 5 shows of all time.

I've watched the first 12 or 13 eps so far.


My favorite line: "How much clearer can I say: THERE'S ALWAYS MONEY! IN THE BANANA STAND! No Touching!"



Tobias is definitely my favorite character, though. When he was directing Maeby's school play the way he would roll onto the stage with his knees tucked up had me dying. Another great one was him role-playing with the psychiatrist.


It seems like every episode has me bust out laughing. "You're married to Carl Weathers? ****!"

For those that don't know, they added this to Netflix On Demand recently... absolutely love this show. I can watch any random episode and laugh like an idiot... like Strangers With Candy, it was too weird to survive.

Nice! That's good for me since my friend still has my copies of the first two seasons. I wish they would put the Upright Citizen's Brigade on the instant-stream.

This show is one of the top 3 funniest shows I think i've ever seen. It's right up alongside Seinfeld and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia for me.

I'd probably put it at number one. Had this ran for 5-10 seasons who knows what it would be for anyone else. It's just the episodes that came out were always great. Everyone of them.

EDIT- Watching it from first episode to last is just brilliant. They couldn't of done better really...

Yeah Seinfeld will always be my favorite, but Arrested Development is up there.

My favorite non-animated shows are probably Seinfeld, The Office, Trailer Park Boys, Arrested Development and My Name is Earl.
