Another great movie that's underrated (at least I don't hear it mentioned much) PI. One of the better independent movies i've seen. It's quite an intelligent movie.

Another one: Stranger than Fiction. Will Ferrell did a great job in that movie.

People I watch it with hate it. I can't help it...I really like the movie.

I have no idea how people would hate this movie. It's probably one of my favorite all-time. Also, someone else mentioned "The World's Fastest Indian." Great movie. Also was about to say "Say Anything."

Personally, I also think "The Truman Show" is underrated.

I haven't seen this movie mentioned on here so I'd guess it qualifies, My Life as a House starring Kevin Kline and Hayden Christensen. Whenever I see Christensen get trashed as an actor (usually for the crap from Star Wars, but that is the whole chicken **** to chicken salad analogy) I cite to this movie where he was nominated for several awards, including a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor.

Miami Vice. I really liked it. The movie was doomed from the beginning in everyone's eyes though, as one of the "cooler" things to do in Hollywood is hating on Colin Farrell. So no matter if it was good, it seemed people just said they disliked it.
