    Re: The Pineapple Express

Totally surprised by this one. Gotta be one of the funniest and goriest movies I've seen in recent memory.

Gotta disagree with CM1847 on this one. Definitely one of the better efforts from Apatow and his crew.

I thought they were falling off track with a couple of his recent movies, but Pineapple Express put my faith right back in him.

I cannot believe how gory the movie turned out to be... but like Monty Python and the Holy Grail, (which I'm not comparing this movie to... no need to get panties in a bunch) they use the gore for laughs, and it really works.

Well worth the nine bucks I paid to see it.

      Wow...

I just got back from Pineapple Express and it's probably the funniest movie to hit theatres this year. I've gotta disagree with whoever said they preferred Superbad and Knocked Up. I'll place it below 40-Year Old Virgin and above the other two. Every scene that had James Franco was pure gold, and there are belly-laughs throughout.

However, I could be a bit biased because I love Seth Rogen's work as well as stoner comedies. The action scenes also don't disappoint.

I thought this movie was amazing. My 2nd favorite behind TDK this summer. I couldn't stop laughing through out the movie.

I thought the villains in the movie were pretty weak, Rosie and Lumberg weren't that great at all. What was great was the cross joint!!! Holy cow!

This whole crew just make amazing comedies, they are the best of all time IMO, they haven't let me down. I would say Forgetting Sara Marshall was their weakest effort but I still like it. I can't rank this to the others, but its right up their with 40 old virgin, Superbad and knocked up.

I came in with low expectations but was pleasantly surprised by this movie. Definitely had me laughing through the entire thing, there is some good physical comedy as well as funny dialogue.

Saw it last night and thought it was pretty funny. I was expecting 2 hours of nothing but "haha, we're high", but got something completely different and was still impressed. No Superbad, but good in its own right.

I really want to see the movie. The scene from the trailer that clinched it for me was where Rogen jumps and uses a wire to get down to Gary Cole.

I'm as big a fan as any, but Forgetting Sarah Marshell was embrassingly boring IMO. This new one should be great, can't wait to see it when I get a chance.
