It will really be interesting to see how RIM reacts to the sales of the Torch, they can't be overly excited. I won't count them out because they've got some great business minds, but we'll see.
Well whatever they do, dont go AT&T

Their customer service is that bad

      Re: The Official BlackBerry Thread

as long as RIM continues to make rock solid, inexpensive hardware they will always have the business user's money. companies aren't concerned about giving their employees toys. they want economical solutions to a mobile working environments and that's exactly what blackberry's are. they need to do everything they can to make sure they stay in the good graces of major corporations. I would want nothing more than to own one of these new android phones or an iphone. but for me sprint android phones are energy hogs, and AT&T has crappy service. i'll be practical and keep my dull and boring Blackberry.

having said that RIM cannot rest on its laurels. It needs to advance its hardware to meet the needs and expectations of the current cell phone market. people want apps, games, and the cool factor that other phone developers are providing. Case Study: Poloroid was so sure that people would always want instant film cameras. They delayed the entrance into the digital camera market and it was ultimately what caused the company to fold. Technology companies cannot afford to not be innovators. RIM must become an innovator in the PDA industry.

Downloaded and installed a leak of BB6 last night on my Bold 9650. Loving it so far. MUCH smoother and fluid than the old OS. A few snags here and there since it isn't an official release but overall, I can't wait until Verizon gets off their asses and issues an official release.

          Anybody have the Blackberry Torch?

I have the Curve now but I'm debating between the Torch and the iPhone 4.

I can't wait to get rid of my bb tour. This is my first bb and during this time, I've witnessed android grow ridiculously fast in the year and a half I've had this. Its crazy all the app support bb doesn't get...
