well, got my Curve 8900 today! W00T! T-Mo was supposed to only be releasing the phone this month to Business Customers but I read over at Crackberry that regular customers had been able to get their orders in before the actual 2/11 release date. It still seems to be random as some people are getting reps that are advising of the feb release date. I ordered at noon yesterday with 3day shipping. Checked order status this morning and had a tracking number that said OUT FOR DELIVERY! WTF? I love T-Mobile. I paid a lil bit more to only extend my contract 1 year. That way when they come out with that 3G BB, i'll be able to upgrade again in a year. I'll post some pics later.

I picked up Verizon's BB Curve in October and I now realize that I will NEVER have another device that's not a BB. It's the greatest phone I've ever had. I get my corporate email, facebook and all right there where ever I am.

My co-worker picked up the Storm just before the holidays and I played with it a little while in the process of setting up her corporate email account. I'm still unsure about how I liked it. I mean, having had an LG Voyager, the novelty of touch screen really means nothing to me and in my limited experience that's all that I saw with the Storm.

I will say that after having this phone for a few months I'm still learning little tricks. Like I was a big disgusted that I had to hold shift and scroll down to select all of the calls in my call log to delete. Then, I learned that from my message list I can hit alt+p and get my call list to come up and then do the BB button and delete prior to delete my call list.

                SWEET!

from what I hear, 3G ain't all that great as in not too much faster than EDGE. Still, that's why I paid more for my phone and extended my contract by a year so I'd be eligible for another upgrade next year when T-Mo is supposed to offer a 3G Blackberry

Being an iPod Touch owner, I KNOW for a fact I don't want a touch screen phone.

I feel you on that NF. I love my BB 8700g and the 8900 Curve is going to be cake! I thought about the G1 when they came out but in the end, I realized how much i'd miss my blackberry.

The Web Browser and the readability of the emails alone make it far superior to the 8830 imo.

Now that I have got the typing down, I am very very happy with my Storm.

                            Question-
I have a Curve and the other day, the spring (screw) popped out of the back (where the battery compartment sort of latches in).

Do you think if I bring it to a Verizon dealer, they'll just fix it right there?

I didn't get insurance on it.

I'd hate to have to ship it somewhere.

BTW, I still have the tiny screw that popped out.

I am getting a new phone sometime next week and I am picking between the BB Storm Vs the Samsung Omnia. The Omnia has more features but i like the ease of use of the storm and it just feels right.

Since this is my first Smart phone i have a few questions.

                              1. the Storm I hear does not have Wifi only 3g, how bad is that going to be?

                              2. How is the BB OS?

                              3. Has anyone used the Omnia, Thoughts?

Yup, there's a definite learning curve to it, but I am really digging it so far.

Make sure you upgrade to the latest firmware.
