As for the picture, I'm skeptical to say the least. I want to hear more experts look at the film before I agree it hasn't been altered. Its too easy with computers to alter images. The likely story is this guy is just after money.

Yeah I dunno, why whenever bringing up ghosts or aliens or whatever, the situation has to be the creepist thing imaginable. Honestly, the concept of an entity making its way inside your typical home setting late at night is like the scariest thing ever, so in that sense that makes it seem human created.

Exactly what I thought when I saw the picture.

Not to mention that any alien filmed or reported is always a bipedal human with a distorted face.

IMO, the most likely alien species we would encounter would be (in order of likelihood):

1. A very, very primitive species that we find on our terms

*huge gap*

2. Either a sentient machine or another race's satellite

3. Some hyper advanced species we would barely be able to comprehend. The difference in technology between a species that can create and stay alive through the light speed travel it would take to reach Earth and us would be so huge, it would be like a monkey trying to understand our life.

The idea that aliens would simply be a slightly more evolved version of us is very narcissistic.

And for what it's worth, the fear of being killed by aliens has officially taken over my fear of spiders in the last month. Not Independence Day war with aliens style, but simply some redneck alien ****ing around with some laser gun and blowing up Earth. That scares the **** out of me.

Or maybe we are already interacting with aliens and foreign things but are not aware of it, since they are hyper advanced species we cannot comprehend this. Any organism on earth thinks it is the top species and it distorts its perception of reality to fufill these terms. I am sure ants feel that way, and view humans perhaps as part of the environment much as humans view weather, tornadoes, space, etc. We as humans are no exception and isn't it interesting to think that what we think is something is really not that thing at all. Think of Plato's allegory of the cave concept. For all we know we have been interacting with "aliens" since the inception of man.

That's basically the next step of my #3. For all we know, we could be like that one movie (I think The Forgotten) where the aliens are just doing experiments on humans like we do on animals. Some times I use that as a mental excuse when things aren't going my way. Like I"m just the unlucky lab rat the aliens are ****ing with.

Lol, going with that concept, I read a scientific article a few months back that discussed how there is a good chance we are all essentially part of an online computer program being played by real people in the distant future. This is sort of like the matrix and I'm not explaining it particularly well, but it was an interesting read. Yeah, we are all lab rats in the sense that there is something going on that is so beyond what is happening here in this world it is incomprehensible. The partical accelerator experiment might find cool results touching on this effect when it begin testing this fall, but I doubt it will find anything.
