Re: New Apple IPhone or new Blackberry Bold?
I like that Blackberry, if you're leaning towards the iPhone wait a month or so cause I heard at AT&T that there is a new one coming out sometime in July.I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Re: New Apple IPhone or new Blackberry Bold?
From others I know, they wish they wouldn't have gotten a blackberry. The service goes down, the phone has to be rebooted, or sometimes it resets its self and you lose all you contacts/data/etc that wasn't backed up. They both will be good, but if Apple opens up the iphone, as it appears they are, you will see a lot more options for the iphone as far as software goes.
I'm not a mac lover and I wouldn't buy an iphone because Apple was stupid and went with outdated Edge network. I'm waiting until the new one is out to see if I want to buy it.Comment

I assume these enterprise applications will tie in seamlessly with Microsoft Exchange? If not, they won't do well...
Most infrastructures I've worked in utilize Blackberry devices and a Blackberry server. It's very easy to administer and plays well with Exchange. Although some have used Verizon Wireless devices and VSync Software (which is a bit clunky at first and from my experience needs an occasional reboot or else it stops functioning).Last edited by mjb2124; 06-02-2008, 03:41 PM.Comment

The only difficulty will be convincing the IT Dept to convert (if they are already running a Blackberry server - which many places are).
