    Re: Friday the 13th Remake

I liked it but didn't love it. Fans of the old Friday movies might be a little put off with the main plot IMO, but it still was entertaining. There was some good humor and the cast was solid, but they didn't do the one main thing every Friday the 13th movie had until the end. I won't tell what it is as you'll pick up it when you see it.

It's worth seeing in the theater as you will jump a few times, but it's nothing than totally stands out.

      Re: Friday the 13th Remake

I still want to see it, but heard something Thursday night that totally turned me off from the movie, now I'm scared to even consider seeing it as I may hate it with a passion.

I know I'll see it at some point, even if it's on DVD, but damn.

          Re: Friday the 13th Remake

Saw it last night, went in thinking this is either gonna tank or be awesome and I actually left feeling like it was just good,
Funny parts, stupid people getting killed in gross ways and lots of TnA what more do you expect.

They were talking sequel but that wouldnt make any sense, I dont see how they could. Overall if you like horror flicks theatre viewing is a good idea, if youre just semi interested wait to rent it. overall though it wasnt bad at all. id say 3/5

From what I've heard, the "new" Jason sounds alot more active than previously. That's not to say he is the Karate Kid that Freddy became when he and Jason squared off, but he isn't as oafish.

Hated this movie. It took the greatness of Jason and just **** all over him. IMO, they ruined one of the greatest horror icons with this trash.

thats just dumb, for a movie to be a zero it has to be like that ben affleck J LO movie,

overall it could have been better, but really it wasnt even close to bad especially not as bad as you make it seem.

I think thats just it some people get a little disapointed here and there and then just claim the whole movie blows, - not true

I found the movie alright, i'd be on par with the 3/5 rating. It is worth seeing but maybe not in theaters. I just felt a bit cheated after the epic 20 minutes of the movie, and then it all slowed down.

Yeah, this movie does not deserve a 0. This is better than most of the sequels released after 'The Final Chapter'. At that point is when the impostor Tommy Jarvis was around for one film and then Zombie Jason took over.

                                -----------------------------

I really enjoyed the film. The first 20 minutes of the film were awesome, I was in awe at how well paced it was. The remaining film doesn't hold up to those first 20 minutes, but it was still very good. Considering how messed up many of the sequels have been after 'The Final Chapter' this was very enjoyable.

Since this is Platinum Dunes production, who also did both 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' films, there are a few elements that felt like were taken right out of the new TCM films.
