the point is that if you take 100 different random beats from all over the country and put them in front of the best rappers from each genre of rap and 50 cent will be able to kill 98-99 while every other rapper in the game cant do that. The southern rappers could come hard on about 40%-60% i'd said with the best ones maybe pushing 75, and would be mostly club-oriented with the heavy bass. West coast rappers i say could come on about 30%-40% of the beats, we all know how they sound. East coast rappers rely mostly on delivery/lyrics/wittyness all on mostly just a simple drum machine or samples, while the style works mostly not everyone can derive away from it

Well its simple Bob, 50 Cent is the greatest talented rapper ever. He has unlimited talent, and has made millions of dollars...all that explains every point mr. 84 is trying to give.XBL: DTX3

East coast rap hasn't really been popular nationwide for over a decade and significantly fell off right around the release of the Black Album, since then the G-Unit ones are the only platinum albums to come out of the east. Before that the west was the more popular coast with 2pac, Snoop, NEW, etc. but they have fallen off also, with I believe The Game's album (which just happens to have a huge G-Unit logo on the back) was the last platinum selling record to come out the west with no future in sight out there.
after 50 kicked out game his west coast popularity dropped....dropping buck i think could do that same in the south
I mean if you're a 50 fan, then that's fine but don't try to make **** up as if he is the best rapper of all ******* time though because to the people in here, you're just digging yourself a deeper hole lol.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Young Buck vs G-Unit
GRODT sold 12 million world wide
The Massacre Sold 10 million worldwide
Curtis Sold 1.7 million worldwide (Kanye's Graduation which Curtis went head to head with nearly doubled that number).
So yeah, The Game fell off sales-wise (skill-wise he is still nice as hell), but you can't tell me that 50 didn't fall hard too. This guy does not have the "pull" in the industry that you seem to think he does. G-Unit was a fad, and its just about over. Just be happy that your hero cashed in when he did and as able to make his money.
Edit: the Game sold 5.2 million with 50, Dre and Em (Documentary)
He sold 3 million all by himself (Doc's Advocate). Game's drop was only a little compared to 50's, and his last effort outsold 50's last joint. Uh oh....Last edited by Streets; 06-24-2008, 06:26 PM.Comment

Re: Young Buck vs G-Unit
And also keep in mind that 50 wasn't even the best or 2nd best lyrical person in G-Unit(Banks,Buck) but yet you're saying he can't rap over any south beat better than any rapper from the south(other than the ones you mentioned)and over any west coast beat better than any rapper from the south.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Young Buck vs G-Unit
you guys are misinterpreting what i am saying when i say 50 can do any flow and any style better than anyone I mean that he can change his style better than any one else, the southern rappers do rap on the southern beats better but thats all they can do. 50 can still rap the southern beats and sound better than 95% of the southern rappers, no one else in the game can do that. with the exception of a few southern rappers they cant do it without the southern beats while some sound very good on them but it isn't the same way 50 can do it.
nas can't do things like this

and then go from that to...

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/0qVQ_9MtP4U&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344"></object>and still make east coast style international hits like...

C. 5o is paying you handsomely to do his internet bidding

Re: Young Buck vs G-Unit
From 2003-2005 he put out 7 platinum albums (GRoDT, GRoDT, Massacre, Documentary, Beg for Mercy, Cashville, and Banks' album). That's more than probably any label in rap. Hell, if the industry had 1997-2001 album sales, Massacre and GRoDT probably would have gone Diamond, and GRoDT would unarguably be the highest selling rap album ever.

Re: Young Buck vs G-Unit
I agree about The Game. Without 50, that boy probably still at the Compton Swap Meet sellin his mixtapes and Black Wall Street is never even heard of this side of the Mississsippi.
Even though I don't really mess with him like that, he has been pretty solid since he left the Unit because folks were saying that Game would never be able to make it on his own. But Doctor's Advacate did do pretty good and heard it was a nice album as well.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Young Buck vs G-Unit
I'm saying that since the split (which includes, Em, Dre, and the Unit, not JUST 50), Game's drop off has been much less significant than 50's fall from grace. The Doctor's Advocate is not only a better album than Curtis, it sold more as well. It doesn't sound like Game is irrelevant post-Interscope at all. As a matter of fact, I'd say the kid did alright for himself, besting 50's last effort.Last edited by Streets; 06-24-2008, 10:33 PM.Comment

I'm not saying 50 didn't put Game on the map. Some people are acting like now that 50 and Game have split, Game's career is over since he no longer has 50.

Re: Young Buck vs G-Unit
Not really a suprising margin considering all the hype Curtis was receiving prior to it coming out.
You would think that Curtis would've outsold Doctor's Advocate by an even bigger margin but with the internet leaks of it before it came out, I can understand it being much difficult to do.
But that's the unique thing bout 50. As BAD as people think he is, that dude is ALWAYS gonna put up Numbers. Even if it was a cd with just him and Tony Yayo, which will pretty much be like a "Tag Team" Reunion Album lol. Can't name too many rappers that could do the same thing.#RespectTheCultureComment
