The Offspring - Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace
Any Offspring fans on here? What are your thoughts on the new album?

Love The Offspring, though I'm more of an old school fan of them (Smash and Ixnay on the Hombre were awesome). The recent releases have some good tracks, but are pretty average overall. I'm going to check out this one though, the Flyers were playing "Hammerhead" as intro music earlier this year and it was a good listen.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Offspring fan here.
That said, I didn't even realize they had a new album as I lost track of them after the crap they put out. Is this more like their stuff from 15 years ago, or more like their stuff of the last 5-10 years?Comment

If it's ANYTHING like Ignition, then I'll love it.
I haven't even bothered to listen to their last couple albums...
EDIT: After listening to a few tracks, its not as bad as Pennywise's new album but its also not this;

I loved Offspring's first two CD's, but after Smash, they just kept going downhill. I listened to this one just for kicks, and I LOVE IT! Glad to see them go back to the old sound! Much better than the crap they released with Ixnay on the Hombre and 90% of their stuff after that.Through music, you can live forever...TEAMS: San Diego Chargers, San Diego Padres, Notre Dame Fighting IrishComment

I love The Offspring and have since 1995; I can't wait to get my hands on their new stuff, I've heard 2 songs, but that's it.?The Bulgarian Brothers - a story of two brothers (Oggy and Dinko) as they coach in the NCAA and the NBA.

Personally I loved the self titled, Ignition, Smash and Americana. Ixnay was decent. I didn't like Conspiracy of One and Splinter. I'll be sure to give this new one a look.Comment

I liked all through Americana...started losing me with Ixnay and didn't check out the other two. I'll be checking this out though, I also need to find "Bad Habit' that's just a great angry song lolNintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: The Offspring - Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace
Conspiracy was the only one that really disappointed me. I felt all the other ones had solid stuff throughout, and Splinter could have been really good had it not been 30 minutes and had 3 joke/non-songs. I loved 'The Noose', 'Head Around You', and some other stuff there.
I just listened to all of the songs on Youtube, and I like it, but I'm not blown away yet. It's very diverse and I like that. I'll have to see what I think after a few more listens, but there don't seem to be many duds on the album, which is good.
Here's a link to "You're Gonna Go Far, Kid" on youtube. If you look at more videos from the user who posted it, he has the entire album.

I actually liked Conspiracy Of One, the one I really hated was Splinter.

Re: The Offspring - Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace
It's not that I didn't like Co1, but when I stack it up against other Offspring, it would probably be last for me, because it only has 4 songs I would want to listen to, maybe 1-3 more I could tolerate, and I just skip all the rest. No other album has had a ratio that bad for me.
Whereas Splinter was short, I liked every single song except Neocon, Da Hui, and When You're In Prison (although not a big fan of Worst Hangover Ever).
Glad to see other people love the band too though!?The Bulgarian Brothers - a story of two brothers (Oggy and Dinko) as they coach in the NCAA and the NBA.
