    Re: Plasma vs LCD

Finally ready to buy the tv but I'm not sure which one I want. How are these:

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

I would go with the lna32a550.

The Viera sets though are solid as well. My dad has a Vierra 1080p Plasma and I hear nothing but good stuff about Viera sets.

I have a plasma and my friends say its the best picture they have seen. better than my friends LCD's and my buds DLP. GO Plasma you won't regret it.

I just got that exact same Samsung Series 4 (the 720p one), and I absolutely love it. Great tv so far.

Skip the Panny because there are better Panny tv's out there than that one, although they're all great,

I'd say just future proof yourself and get the 1080p Sammy if you dont mind paying the extra dough, but if you pay that much might as well save a couple of hundred more for a bigger 1080p set.

Either of the Sammy's will do you just fine. You won't be losing out either way.

These kind of things always take time because you need to research what you want.

Nice tv though you have there... future proofed with HDMI and 1080p

Congrats on the purchase Jmood, props for taking your time about it.

So the other day a friend of mine was asking me to help him find a decently priced TV that would double well as a PC monitor. After a bit of searching for a product in his price range I found this TV/Monitor seemed pretty decent for $450 although I can't find anyone selling it. Thoughts?

I bought a 57" Toshiba rear projection set about 3 1/2 years ago at Sears. I got the maintenance agreement with it. The TV went out with lens problems. Their repair center people have been jerking us around for the last month. After talking to a manager at their corporate office, they are giving me this tv and a stand to put it on:

                          http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...2XBR6&sLevel=0

Needless to say, I'm psyched. I've wanted an LCD or Plasma for a while now, but wasn't going to spend the money. Maintenance agreements can be a very good thing.

The site seems to list it as a VMM, but the searches are coming up VM:

I did a little more research and found that they haven't started selling it yet. The one you linked to is a different 26" model from Vizio. My friend was set on getting it whenever it becomes available but I convinced him to wait for reviews. So far it's not for sale and there are no reviews.
