OMG I just called my buddy who has season tickets to the Buckeyes games and he said his wife got laid off so he will sell me ALL their home games for face value with a slight markup as a package deal, except for Penn State and Michigan. He is going to the Penn State game. He said I would have to give more for Michigan than face value (which I'm cool with as that is his big $$$ ticket). So i'm just freakin' ecstatic over here, i'll be at all the home Buckeye games this year except Penn State!! WOW!!

RICHMOND (June 27, 2008) -- In a late breaking Friday afternoon deal ODogg and Verizon Wireless have announced that he has signed a year lucrative agreement to provision circuits for the #1 cellular network in America. Shaun Hough, or more commonly known to OSers as ODogg, signed a late breaking deal with Verizon Wireless to nearly double his salary in a long term contract. ODogg having been employed for the past years with T-Mobile said in his, at times emotional press conference: "I really loved working for T-Mobile and wish them all of the best but it's time I moved on. When Verizon Wireless presented me with this opportunity I knew I couldn’t pass it up." In his first year with T-Mobile, Hough, an Ohio native, successfully took over for departing engineer and departmental star Joe Jones. Since arriving in Richmond with the cellular carrier in 2005, Hough has provisioned over 1,000 circuits and successfully managed two major markets, Myrtle Beach and Columbia.

Terms of the contract were not released, as is Verizon Wireless policy, but Columbus Dispatch reported Hough, 38, could make as much as six figures and top the maximum amount for the provisioning position for the industry standard of pay. When asked about how this would affect the salary cap Verizon Wireless officials simply looked puzzled and said "What salary cap?". If ODogg were to reach all incentives, including overtime he would be among the top five best-paid provisioner in Ohio for 2008, the Dispatch reported.

"We're obviously absolutely delighted to have Shaun in the fold," Provisioning Manager Ted Smith said. "He's a top-class provisioner who wants to live in Ohio and there aren't many of those around."

Sources say the location of the contract, 14 miles from 411 Woody Hayes Drive (the address for Ohio State's football stadium), obviously figured heavily into Hough's decision to leave T-Mobile and come aboard with Verizon Wireless. ODogg is well known to many OSer's as a lifelong, diehard Buckeye fan. He will now go from being nearly 500 miles away from the Horseshoe to being 14 and a half miles from it. On paper, Verizon Wireless would seem to have one of the industries s most potent engineering teams. Considering the company is already the industry #1 carrier this deal only serves to add to their arsenal of top flight engineers.

Hough, known around the world as "ODogg" or in some case simply "Dogg," led T-Mobile through it's R4 conversion of it's network in 2006, successfully converting over 200 circuits from old TDMA technology to new GSM technology. "Shaun is what can be best described as a pure, big time provisioner. He's expected to get orders out and get them out quickly, while all the time maintaining the database with updated comments and unparalleled accuracy. Simply put, there is no one that I can think of who is a quicker and more detail oriented provisioner than 'Dogg. He's expected to get firm order confirmation everytime he logs into the database."

Verizon Wireless president and general manager Denny Strigl said. "But even more importantly, he is a winner who knows what it takes to re-home an entire market." Hough is expected to report to Verizon Wireless sometime in mid-July. When T-Mobile officials were asked to comment on the lucrative signing they were unavailable for comment.

Yeah i'm excited because i've never made it into six figures before so this will be a first. Did you see what I posted about my buddy who has season tickets? He's selling me his entire lot minus Penn State so I can go to all the home games!
