I heard the song at the end and was wondering where I'd heard it from. Went to youtube and found out a lot of people did the same lol. I even forgot I had the movie Loser in my dvd collection. Gonna go watch that now.

interesting to know that you feel it is realistic...that makes me want to watch it that much more.

They need to make more shows like this imo. As far as the ratings, can we can really go by that on HBO shows, because of "on demand", and the fact that they replay the show quite a bit? There are so many other channels also. I think it is impossible for an HBO show to get great ratings. I think they care more about "critical acclaim" these days.

Ive never been in a firefight before but....... That was one of the most intense scences Ive ever seen.

They'll give some shows a longer leash than others. Deadwood and Carnivale were both critically acclaimed and were both cancelled. They both got better ratings than the Wire but the Wire was cheap and they were expensive.

"Rome" was too expensive also. I loved that show

I don't know about best ever. Band of Brothers was pretty damn good but there's a ton of WWII stuff out there.

Band of Brothers would be my #2. I explained why on my blog, but I just feel this one hit home more since it was just recently in my lifetime. Seemed more real than Jarhead, and was just a very entertaining 9 hours.

I just watched the finale. Thank goodness for HBO On Demand.


What can I Say? Amazing. I loved just about every piece of it. Definitely recommend it to a friend.

I couldn't help but think of friends and classmates that I knew that went over there to fight.

Liked how they did the finale. It wasn't too political, but it let you make up your own mind about what to think with the situation.

I won't go into what I think, because that would be a blatant TOS Violation.

Perhaps now I'll have to go pick up a copy of the book. I'm left with a wanting of more...
