    Re: OS Country Music Thread

Roadhouse Sun has become one of my two favorite albums to be released this year with Dan Auerbach's Keep It Hid.

Ha Ha Tonka's new album came out yesterday, I'm ripping it to my laptop now and will listen in a few. Their first album, Buckle in the Bible Belt was amazing alt-country/country-rock with amazing vocals and harmonies.

For anybody interested I found some free mp3s from live radio shows that are really really good.

Nice to see some more country music tracks on Rock Band. I'm especially pumped to see some Alan Jackson. I'll definitely be hitting up a couple of those.

Picked one of my least favorite songs from my favorite country artist ("She Thinks My Tractors Sexy"), not a fan of the Keith Urban song...

But I'll probably get those two, along with the Alan Jackson song. Maybe one or two others depending on how fun they seem.

A guy at work told me to check out a guy named Danny Gatton, so I did. Pretty nice. Its a shame the man is dead. Check this out, slide work with a beer bottle.

And some new stuff I got today, not sure if its a good idea to post it in here, but rockabilly is basically country with more of an edge. Anybody like Kim Lenz? She's basically old school rockabilly.

Or Devil Doll? She's a little bit more diverse than Kim is with some songs leaning towards 40s crooner and jazz singer, but there's some country/rockabilly influences throughout, plus her voice is just sooooo sexy it melts me.

Listening to Hayes Carll's Little Rock (the album) right now. Great album - definitely a great country artist. Two albums that I have of his are both fantastic.

Anybody have any Townes Van Zandt recommendations?

For the Texas Rangers fans, come out to the game July 18th and see Casey Donahew Band perform after the game. There is a stage set up outside the stadium and they have all kinds of concerts after games

Casey Donahew Band's profile including the latest music, albums, songs, music videos and more updates.
