IMO, 50's still dope. Most people have an unwarranted negative opinion of him and g unit now. His older material is some of the best rap ever made, GRODT, Power of the Dollar and the old mixtapes are all crazy.

However, 50 and g unit mixtapes have been better than their albums in the last several years. Elephant in the sand and return of the bodysnatchers from 08 are both ridiculous.

Some of 50's best recent work didn't come from his albums, some didn't even come from mixtapes, just random unreleased material that got leaked. I'll post some tracks below if some haven't heard.

How is it unwarranted when you're basically saying that 50 hasn't put out a good album since 03 and his best work is either from before then or on mixtapes?

obviously 50's best work is in the past, but he's still putting out good music. People blindly hate without even listening to his music anymore. He's been consistently good from 1997-2010, with his best years from 1999-2003. Album or mixtape, good music is good music.

I like 50's older music GRODT and before. Anything after not a fan of, except for a few select songs. After garbage song after garbage song, bad album after bad album why would I continue to listen to him when it is now 2010? I gave up on 50, I still listen to Power of the Dollar and his early work, but don't give his new stuff a spin anymore because it's all the same now, there is much better music being made that I would rather listen too.

He has not been consistently good. Consistently good would mean he was still as good as he was in the early years of last decade. Now I'm not saying every album he puts out has to be on par with GRODT that wouldn't be fair. He is now average at best. It's been close to a decade since he put out a solid album, not consistent. His music has gone downhill, don't know how anyone can think otherwise.

Before I Self Destruct actually wasn't that bad, IMO. Of course it's not on the same level as the first GRODT(what album is considering how great that album was and the expectations that we place on these dudes now)but it's definitely not as a bad as "Curtis" was.
