At that point in time, he probably would have been eaten. He didn't have a clear mind then, he was all spaced out. Now? Forget it, there isn't a single person who can touch him.

Finally finished the album...classic is all I gotta say. The Proof tribute song You're Never Over damn near brought a tear to my eye lol.

I like the fact that while Lil Wayne was making his claim as the greatest alive and Kanye was blowing up, Em was sitting at the house listening, getting pissed off.

Seems like I'm one of the few but I'm digging Won't Back Down a lot.

Man with new Big Boi tracks, Recovery, new Mike Bigga (Killer Mike) on the horizon), new Lupe comin' out soon, it's a good time for me as a hip hop fan. If Detox and Outkast Gangsta Grillz ever actually drop I might stroke out.
Yeah that was cool when he brought up how he was thinking of calling Yeezy and Wayne out. Back in that time frame he was talking about, maybe they could have beat him in a battle but IDK how messed up he really was in terms of losing his skill like he said he did. Now though, well I think Forever showed it would be no contest.

I actually like Won't Back Down as well.

Hip-hop is definitely in a good place right now. So much good stuff coming out and so many good, fresh artists out there. This is like the NBA after the '03 draft class. We're in the golden age!

The track names all came up for me when I dragged them into iTunes.

EDIT: BTW, does anyone else think that after this album there really isn't too much discussion as to Em being the best alive? Jay-Z has a strong case but skill-wise I think Em has the edge.

Hella late but RE was a classic because of Hi-Tek's beats which is why Talib got mad and tried to drop some music w/o him. I'm not saying he's garbage but he was never up to par with the mighty Mos (when Mos was focused on rap).

It's not old school em, it's new school. It isn't the same. Slim Shady is dead, this is the new Marshall.

After listening for a few hours, i'm disappointed in Recovery. Production has taken a step back from his previous albums. His flow is nearly the same on every track, at least he's not using that silly voice. It's not a bad album, but its not even close to his best work (eminem show, marshall mathers lp, slim shady lp).

My favorite tracks are so bad (obvious dr dre beat) and no love ft lil wayne.

I don't think Jay has a case, since he hasn't released a good album since 2003. Him and Weezy are the two most overrated rappers right now imo.

But yes, he is in the discussion with 3 stacks, Black Thought , and Nas.

I'm only through track 7 (Not Afraid) and I would be happy if this was an entire album. Talkin' to myself is just SICK!

Just got through No Love. Wow, that song is fire. Wayne is ok but Em's verse ...

I am already loving this album. This is the Eminem I have been waiting for. Gives me chills how good this is so far.
