Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Yep. Big letdown.
This was really the only good thing to come out of it:

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Oh yeah. Forgot about that one. But yeah, other than those 2 songs, the album is meh.
I figured since it was first album post-jail he would've came with it lyrically, but instead he made a bunch of pointless songs with Drake, Trey Songz, etc. Oh, and that Chris Brown song is terrible too.
About that J. Cole song, there's an old version of it called "Obstacles". He got a new person on the hook for the version posted above. Both are good but I think I prefer the old one.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Usually the post jail albums are the best, what a dissapointment........we need the T.I somewhere between Urban Legend and (what? KING maybe?) backComment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Yeah, that's why I was expecting good things from this one. Even the T.I. from Paper Trail would've been good on this album. That was a solid album.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Thank goodness he dropped **** A Mixtape earlier this summer because that runs laps around this trash.
Oh well, had high hopes for this one but looks like this will be coming off the Itunes playlist although I'll still keep the file on my laptop in case one of my family members wants that crap.
And I guess it's looking like a 2011 release for TM103 but hopefully it comes out around the sametime as Andre 3K's solo release(which was rumored to come out in 2011 a while back)#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
I agree. The Recession was fire. I remember listening to My President constantly. So much so I ended up ruining the song for myself and had to stop listening to it, lol. I think I might get around to downloading it again.
Speaking of albums, that Top 10 albums of 2010 thread reminded me I still haven't listened to a few this year. Were the Rick Ross, Bun B and Lloyd Banks albums (might be forgetting a couple others) worth listening to?Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick.
