This sounds like an Aesop Rock song in slow motion.

Apparently Tyler the Creator an his odd Future guys are both being bid on by Jay-Z an Diddy. Nice to see them getting some recognition from the big guys.

It would be a horrible idea to be signed by either one of them.

White girl rides a beat better than most of your favorite rappers. You say other wise your in denial or don't understand the concept of riding a beat.

I'm really getting back into Charles Hamilton again. I know he's not the most popular guy around, but I appreciate his work. I'm not a fan of his "quantity over quality" approach, but he drops some heat on each of his mixtapes.

I'm still working my way through his original "Hamiltonization Process". I have like 60 more Mixtapes to work through, lol. "Sonic the Hamilton" is probably my favorite overall. He has like 4 tracks on there going over Sonic beats (which I love).

I appreciate the fact that the music/rap is literally a language for the guy. I swear he could rap forever and never stop because it's like talking for the guy. He's extremely talented, just unfocused and sporadic. I loved the Pink Lavalamp (one of my favorite albums ever), but everything else hasn't been able to recapture that magic. He's still good though and I haven't stopped listening to him all this week.

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread

I've been a Hamilton fan for about 3 years now, and I think that his best work is behind him. I don't think he could ever be mainstream because of his wierdness. He's to lyrical for a lot of people, and he doesn't use the random metaphors that all the popular rappers are using. I've let people listen to some stuff and they look at me like I have an ear growing out of my forehead when I say he's better than most current mainstream rappers.

My top 5 CH mixtapes are as follows:
                          1. Sonic the Hamilton
                          2. Grow Wing Pains
                          3. This Perfect Life
                          4. Well Isn't This Awkward
                          5. My Brain Is Alive

Oddly enough the sequels to #1 and #4 were God awful in my opinion.

Kanye is about to close the festival around an hour from now. I say this every year but I need to get out there and take this thing in next year. The Strokes are killing it atm.
