I'm feeling very "Seattley" right now. Damn, Macklemore is the man:

      <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Vhf5cuXiLTA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Watch now, before Macklemore goes mainstream. And if you get the chance, check out his album from 2005, "The Language of My Music." A classic.

I can't wait to hear what we comes up with in 2012 for his new album.

PS: What other college has as great of a producer as Jake One, including verses from Sol and Geologic?:

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread

Hi all, former active member in the Soccer forum but have been lurking around this thread recently and just wanted to thank you all for introducing me to Kendrick Lamar and Childish Gambino...both of their albums are in my top 10 for 2011! But if i hadn't started reading this thread over the last week or so, i doubt i would've never known these albums existed. I've always been a fan of hip-hop but i've never really gone out of my way to 'research' or download songs by non-mainstream artists mainly because i've been content with what i had (Kanye, Lupe, Eminem, Nas, Wu-Tang) for the most part, but i'm also thankful that this thread has also introduced me to the whole mixtape scene i've been totally unaware of :o Now it feels like there's too much music out there!

Do any of you guys recommend the following artists LIVE in concert? They are all coming to Sydney (Australia) next month and i'm wondering if they are worth attending:
        - Tech N9ne/D-12/Obie Trice
        - Kid Cudi/Chamillionaire/Crazy Town OR Immortal Technique (these are on same day, hence the "or")
        - OFWGKTA...i'm not a fan of Odd Future's music, but it looks like they put on crazy live shows...

Out of all the above, i'm really only big on Tech N9ne (love most of his 2011 album) and semi keen on Immortal Technique...not fans of any others or haven't listened to much by them.

        Cheers and Happy 2012!

That was great as always, but he loses mad cool points for saying Derek Jeter hit 3000 homeruns. Think he meant hits.

Not sure if ya'll are experts or anything like that, but does anybody have any sort of information on a J. Cole/Kendrick Lamar collaboration project? I've hear poor quality leaks of them on youtube, but I want to know if they're any information I may have missed.

In the meantime, I'm very hooked on this song right now by B.o.B ft. Andre 300 - Play The Guitar

Another thing, doesn't this song's Chorus sound like T.I? The song Fancy by Drake ft. T.I and Swizz Beats has a similar sound/part where T.I says something like "play these suckas like B.o.B play the guitar."

Yea, because they chopped his line in that verse for the hook of that song.

Highly disappointed that Drake is only featured on one song.
Even 2 Chainz is on multiple tracks! I guess the Bawse didn't want to give my soft brother too much love.
