I just posted a Gucci and Waka Flaka song a while back.

I like ignant rap. It's enjoyable. In measured doses.

My criteria for good rap is:

        1. Is the beat fire?
        2. Does it have dope lines?
        3. Is the flow on the song enjoyable?

If it meets any of those requirements it gets posted on here. Even if I think the artist is wack overall (Lil B will never get posted by me, seriously. Like, maybe as a joke, but other than that I refuse to post his songs. I get what he does, parody and deconstruction and all that, but I find very few of them funny. Just not for me. I'd rather enjoy a serious deconstruction like "Bitch Bad" by Lupe).

I haven't posted a J.Cole song in like, months. The last one was that song with Missy Elliot but that was because Missy has an elegant voice.

Not gonna lie, the "closed" opinions of some is the reason I don't really check this thread out a lot. But... while I'm here I might as well drop this opinion:

Yo Gotti's CM7 is an average mixtape (2.5/5)

Curren$y's Priest Andretti is pretty good. (3.5-4/5)

I agree. CM7 has 1-2 songs that can be on rotation.
At 1st, I wasnt feeling Priest Andretti. It wasnt until I actually sat down(drive) and listened to it, that I am starting to like it.

i only went thru cm7 like 1.5x. its just like cm6 really. its alright, the beats bang and its the same old yo gotti...thats about it for me. just like waka or gucci to me. they drop something im gonna cop it no doubt and blow thru it once or twice maybe one or two songs will get me hype then i move along.

priest andretti hasnt grown on me yet cuz ive only listened to it thru earbuds. i gotta get it in the car ike u said or blast on the surround sound at hm to get a good opinion. i dunno what it is with spitta lately but his new stuff dont get me like the older stuff. wen i heard that old spitta i was instantly hooked 1st listen. now it takes me quite a few listens to finally "get it" then i be loving it....ie 1st 28 with styles p, stoned immaculate, now this. cigarette boats tho...man thats my shhhh. didnt take me as long to warm up to, but it still had that same effect but to lesser degree. its all quality music too so i dont get why im like this with him lately.

Curren$y's stuff is Cruising Music for me, in that I can put either his album on or Cigarette Boats(even though it's like 15 minutes long TOTAL)and just zone out, especially if I'm going on a road trip.

And is it me or does the "Closed minded opinion" argument happen more often than it usually does?

French Montana makes good club songs. Not to mention, I love the "Hunnnnnnhhhhh" he does in his songs.

That's about it though. Everything else he does is trash and I don't even look for lyrics from him either.

Basically for Yo Gotti. It is the same ole Gotti. Like you said, Nice Beats and A few good hype songs. After a few, then move out .

He does have good "ride out" tracks.

But, I will be completely honest. I wasnt feeling his early music at all. It wasnt him more as it was the beats he was rhyming on and the way how he approached those beats. I couldnt get into them. I think the 1st song that got me listening to him is a older Wiz track. I didnt get big on him til Early last year. Besides Cigarette Boats, it has took me awhile to get into his tracks. Im a person who deletes a song quick if I cant get get use to it. But with Spitta, I have to get it some time 1st.

With French, I prefer the older French Montana before Max B got locked up. Now he is more of a "Club Banger" artist. Like you said, when I listen to his song, I look for the beat. He was never a lyricist, but with Max, it was less "club banger" music.

                                FREE MAX B!!!

In regards to Curren$y, I used to be in the same boat as well. Couldn't see what all the hype was about him and hearing posters like Jukeman and Aerobee(I think)hype him up and then I decided to finally check him out. Went from hearing 1 song to 2 songs to 4 songs to an entire mixtape and then getting his recent album.
