Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Loso's Way isn't as bad as I thought it would be. It starts off dope, then slows down. Decent album after a few listens.Comment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
I remember where I was when I first heard this. I was laying on my momma's couch, watching the late night edition of Rap City, drifting off to sleep. This joint woke me up quick though! That beat, the grimey vocals, everything about it I felt it. Dude was so hungry. I sat up and watched the video so I could catch the name and get the single the next day.

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
The new Slaughterhouse album has been great so far. I only heard the first five songs but these dudes are comin with that fire. Everybody in the group sounds hungry as hell. I don't think this one is going disappoint the lyrics have been on point so far and so have the beats. Anyways I'm going back to listen to the rest of the album.Comment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Slaughterhouse could be the next Wu-Tang. They have the charisma, the hunger, a core following, and most importantly, THE SKILL. Wu-Tang was just raw grimy lyricism at a time when hip hop needed a breath of fresh air. Right now, hip-hop is in need of something like that and I think Slaughterhouse is it. Unfortunately I don't think they'll have the impact the Wu did or even put a dent in the hip hop landscape. However, I can't help but see the similarities, at least for me as a fan.
The "apparent head" of the group shined the most for me on the album, but then again, he was always my favorite member of the group even before the Slaughter existed. Sick album.
"Not tonight" (taking the beat from Padded Room's "Now I Lay") is by far my favorite track. I always end up nodding my head to that song and every member kills it. "Sound Off", "Onslaught 2", "Rain Dropz", and "Pray (It's A Shame)" are other favorites of mine.Comment
