Yea, it is probably my favorite Ep ever... the emotion conveyed through only 6 tracks is remarkable.

Talib and Mos are enigmas to me.

On one hand they collaborated to create one of the most beautiful hip-hop albums I've ever heard, yet on the other, most of their individual stuff bores the hell out of me.

Train of Thought gets mixed reactions from me, I like some of it but the rest I never understood the hype.

            Oh well.

Oh and PS, Murs to me is just as overrated as Talib.

Yeah Murs isn't the greatest but 316 was a great album.

I agree Murs and Talib have some bits and pieces that are as good as anything ever made. But alot of there stuff is kinda of ......boring.

I like Black on Both Sides just as much as the Black Star album. The Ecstatic I thought was pretty good too, but that's all of Mighty Mos I have. I'm not sure if I want to check out New Danger or Tru Magic and ruin how good I think Mos is.

The New Danger had a few great songs on it, but overall it was more experimental album and a showcase for him and his band Blackjack Johnson. Personally i loved it but thats probably because i have obscure and odd tastes.

I might have to check it out then. What other Mos Def songs would you compare them to?

its hard because none of Mos other albums are a really similar sound, best i can do is link these few i really like from it:

                            Ghetto Rock

                            Blue Black Jack:

Granted there are some straight ahead bangers like Sunshine (IMO one of Kanye's best beats period, and one a lot of people haven't heard) and Champion Requiem on the album. Plus i think the song he performed on Dave Chappelle in the car with Dave is on there. I'd have to look up my Chappelle DVD's to make sure though. The only drawback IMO is the stupid Jay-Z takeover remake he did. Its not back but its just....eh.
