Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread

Alright hip-hop heads. I'm looking to listen to some of the newer artist. Right now I'm listening to WALE "100 Miles & Running" Really like his flow. Any other artist like WALE out right now.

I also have some J Cole & Drake MixTapes I haven't listen too yet.

Like the new Yeezy song. Not his best verses but I like the song overall. I don't wanna be "that guy" but was anyone else surprised when Beyonce dropped the N word?

Power remix with Jay on Friday should be nice. Thumbs down to the November 16th album release date though. I was hoping it would be next month.

Come on now, Kanye still makes substantially better tracks than 50 these days.

Ye may not drop my kind of "heat" but I'll give him a listen every once in a while. Power and I'm So Appalled are decent.

As for 50, I don't think I have even one track on my IPod

Power is awful and this new song isn't that great. Kanye has made ****ty songs for awhile now and he just continues to get worse and worse with each passing year.

                new kanye song....

                overly corny beat? check.

fake non-heart felt beyonce feature? check.

kanye rushing some of his lines? check.

                kanye's cheesy "punchlines?" check.

2 minutes too long full of rambling ego? check.

imagine the direction of this emaculate conception/

cannonball off the diving board when i am bored/
all my homies GDs but i am lord/

wtf does that even mean? i think he used rhymezone.com to write that

a couple of "hey!" adlibs around the 5 f'ing minute mark? check.

as beyonce comes in with a hook/bridge that sounds like it took about 4 seconds to write and doesn't fit the song.

Its almost like Kayne just does a "parody" of himself.

Hes like the annoying Heel in wrestling who had his run and now theres nothing there anymore.

At some point there has to be some depth to an act other then "Fame".

Looks like we got some beef between Jeezy and Ricky Ross.

                                I can agree with this.

It's bee apparent for a long time now.

A combo of laziness and semi-insanity. Sometimes the latter can produce historic music, unfortunately this is not the case for Ye.
