He's the "Hip-hop is dead." archetype, almost satirical on the mic, and I love it. He gettin' money.

Find the closest rapper to Chief Keef outside of Chicago, and I'll see how similar they are. Could have sworn you told me you only listen to three or four rappers earlier in the thread, though.
1st: When I say this? I listen to a lot of artists. They tend to be on the lyrical side of the spectrum but I enjoy stupid songs just like very one else. I like rappers who exude charisma when they rap. Rappers like A$AP, Honey Cocaine, 2 Chainz.

      Hell, I LIKE THIS SONG:

      <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/WSoIDqbcZcc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

      AND THIS ONE: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Wl6qQ0Mj3YM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

      AND THIS ONE:<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/uQZMaG1eO74" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I like my fair share of ****ty songz and am unapologetic about it.

Now, where I'm really narrow as to who I listen to is R&B. It's Jhene Aiko.....Jhene Aiko....and some more Jhene Aiko with a little bit of Frank Ocean thrown in there.

Ugh, I've drifted off-topic. But, as to rappers who talk about senseless violence. Huh, Where do I start.

These guys do it much better than what Keef is trying to portray.

      <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/fdjVZQRa7Ro" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

      <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/21co2jUtHjw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Now, I can start naming folks if you want me to do that.

      French Montana
      Meek Mill
      Rick Ross

Meek and Ross do it better than Keef, while Montana is slightly better than Keef, but only because he didn't need his one hit song remixed for it to blow up.

Okay, I like the second track, and you can tell it's more recent just by the trap vibe. They're not better than GBE in my opinion. Not as energetic with the delivery, no ad libs, nothing really gripping. First one sounds too sophisticated for my taste.

Ross and Meek are not as ignorant and reckless in their lyrics as Chief Keef is, sorry. No way. They just don't appeal to me as much.

And @ docking Sosa for letting Kanye remix his song. He had already blown up prior to that anyway, then the hypebeasts started to hop on upon the release of the remix. That definitely wasn't his only hit either (Bang, Everyday).

u a fool for that one....i remember seeing this dude years ago on some joke shhhh. too funny and yes i did pain thru the whole vid. couldnt stop...just like watching a car wreck....so bad but u cant take ya eyes off it

man this dude is hot. hes got a scarface/mystikal vibe going. im gonna subscribe him and watch the rest of his vids foreal.

as far as this whole chief keef dude....i just dont get the allure. i never heard him before while he was "new", just heard his hype building. im reluctant to let new artist in. i usually do like 1 or 2 new guys at a time so i can go all the way back and listen all the way up until present so i can judge the whole body of work. gave keef a whirl and was like no lie.

im like some others in here where i like good lyrical rap but also like dumb down stuff to slam in the car or just get hype to. he honestly sounds like souljah boy to me with his flow but way less swag or charisma or what have u. souljah cant rap for shhh but at least he got a lil swag to go with the bad package and dress it up a lil and be entertaining. keef has none and is BORING. as far as whos doing it like him, theres a million ppl...its called 90% of atlanta haha!! and they all sound the same and are easily forgotten except for a few.

id rather listen to oj da juiceman or gucci or waka than keef. even tho they have limited subject matter, coke/killing/diamonds/chicks/trapn...they deliver it with more personality charisma swag or what have u. keef just dont have it to me. hes easily forgotten in my book since he has nothing to stand out with. oh well not hating on keef...just what i took away from him when i listen to the vids u be posting fly3. i prolly wont click anymore of them now tho cuz they all pretty much sound the same. oh well he's young...he still has time to turn it around and become a better artist/gain some presence. im not a fan so i wont be holding my breath for it. i give him 2yrs...he'll prolly fall off for the next new person just like him.

Am I wrong or did you guys have this conversation just last week?

Anyway, it hurts my brain to hear someone say music is too sophisticated(while speaking on L.E.P. Bogus Boys of all people) and glorifying ignorance in music.

Who else out there raps about shooting annoyances for the sake of pride? The senseless killing is part of his appeal.
I'm convinced you're just saying things to get a rise out of people at this point.

As for Beans going to jail. He should have listen to all the game Jay-Z tried to give him during their time together. Instead of continuing to build a brand, he always had to be involved in some street stuff. Now here he is in 2012 with no ability to pay $728,536 in back taxes.

What is he going to have waiting for him when he comes home? No one is really checking for his music anymore, burnt most of the bridges he has in the music industry, no real job skill to fall back on, and has kids to feed.

Watch him fall right back into the street stuff and land himself back in jail.
