My family gets it so that we can watch the Jags and Cowboys (when the Cowboys are surprisingly out of market). We also end up each picking a backup team and watching them, since our three teams aren't world beaters (JAX/DAL/WAS).

The red zone channel is included in my Sunday Ticket package as well as the Mix Channel (8 games on one screen) , and I didn't pay $370.00, my cost was $275.00 still high considering it was under $100.00 when I first got it.

Not if you actually want to watch a game. If you want to see the highlights, you can watch those for free. If you only care about scoring chances it is fine, but if you are a fan of a team it is worth it to actually get to watch the game.

It's surprisingly useful if your team is on at 4:15, and you want to keep abreast of all of the 1pm games at once, though.

              Ah, "Bumpin' Up The Oldies"...

              Nice...

I never did get back on the Sunday Ticket train...

B/C of the Flex Scheduling later in the season, and the Thursday / Saturday additions later in the season I don't seem to miss out on much...

Also, I'm away 4-5 weeks of the season, so those weeks would just be a waste...

Lastly, I watch a lot more college football and the SF Giants playoff / World Series run ate up most of my TV time...

              Next year, who knows?

I'm sure I'll go back to it eventually...

I didn't know you could order just that!? I've been missing that channel this year after dropping ST because I'm not home enough during football season (going to Auburn games) to pay for Sunday football. This is for DirecTV?

I got DirecTV last year during the Sunday Ticket offer (pay for ST for 5 months, get the best programming package they offer for free). I dropped to a more manageable package price point wise (and content wise too, we hardly ever watched the premium channels) after the season ended.

This year I bit the bullet and bought the package again. It's an extra 50-60$ a month for 5-6 months, and I'd spend that on stupid crap anyways, so it was a no brainer. I usually watch the Packers game, as well as queuing up my fantasy players and watching their progress more closely as the games happen. It's great to not be stuck watching the Steelers and Eagles every week.

I have AT&T U-Verse, Kevin. And yes, we can order the NFL Red Zone Channel in HD for a mere $5 a month which is a much better bargain than any other option IMO.

                      Bumping this up for 2015:

What kind of deals have you other long time subscribers getting on the basic package this year?

List price has gone up to $252.00, but I've paid anywhere from $159.00 to 199.00 in the past...

I haven't made my yearly call yet. Gotta do so soon enough. Hoping for as good as last year but I'm not banking on it.

I moved so they gave it to me for free... easiest time I've ever had getting something out of them.

For frame of reference, what did they charge you last year?
