So Gambon is a lot better in this film? I hope so because he plays a major role in this film. Gambon was brutal in the fourth film, and I haven't really been impressed by him in any of the ones he's been in.

Yeah he finally came off as the mentor he was supposed to be. There were a couple scenes in this movie he easily could've took a page out of his Angrydore repertoire, but he pulled it off. Especially the whole Horcrux Cave Scene.

Amazing.

Really, that's the only word I can use to describe it. That was the sixth book in movie form (minus, as said above, a few subtle changes).

I need to see the 7th (whether it is 1 or 2) now.

Only read the first 3.5 books, but this movie was by far the best in the series of movies so far. It had action, love, drama, and comedy (who woulda thunk it, but there were at least 10 times where the whole theater laughed).

I'm VERY excited to see what happens, having not read the books (well I know who dies in the end, but only very vague details that my friends said).

Emma Watson was soooooooooo fine too.

What happens to Luna? She just up and disappears with no explanation in the game. I managed to understand the rest of it decent enough.

Awesome movie, enjoyed every minute of it and was not let down at all. The ending was kinda average but the rest of the movie more then made up for it.

Luna is in the movie, and actually has several scenes. After she accompanies Harry to a dinner party, IIRC she doesn't really show up again til the end when they all circle dead Dumbledore and hold up their wands, and they show her doing it too. Either before or after that she has a convo with Harry about her missing shoes.

That's what happens in the game too,gone after the party. They have a slightly different ending for the game,it's just a ray of light shining on a grave so she wouldn't have been there.

There's a video game already? Any good? I'll have to google it; I'd not heard of it. I played the Order of the Phoenix and it was fun for a bit, but it was so lifeless I couldn't get too far.

It came out last week. I thought it was decent enough. Think it's only about 6 hours to go through the story but there's crest collecting,fireworks box exploding,making potions,dueling club and playing qudditch side stuff that I didn't do fully. Though I have nothing to compare it to with my previous Harry Potter experience consisting entirely of this:

So maybe the voices are all wrong or the story is messed up somehow and I wouldn't know it. Not sure what you mean by lifeless but there's plenty of people walking around and chatting to each other and most of the time there's someone else tagging along and they'll be chatting and the ghost guide chats sometimes too.

Im sorry. But I hated the movie. This is up there for the worst HP movie yet.

Let the book down IMO and what the heck is this?!

I mean come on. You change the most epic part (so far) in the HP series? Harry Potter is TOLD by Dumbledore to sit still, under a floor? While he gets murdered? When did THAT happen in the book? These movies make HP look like a beeyotch more than anything. Oh well. Hope the next one is good...

Saw it last night - loved it. It's definitely the darkest toned and least "magical" and "wondrous" of the movies, but I think it served as a tremendous bridge piece between the earlier movies and the big finale as the series gets darker and more adult. The relationship stuff was maybe a tad overdone, but overall I really can't complain about anything else. Slughorn was cast brilliantly and I also thought this was Gambon's best work yet as Dumbledore.

This series now has its Empire Strikes Back....its Two Towers. Hopefully the next two movies will be as good.
