I also thought it ended pretty nicely, some of the twists during the last episode though were a little over the top for me but it was still pretty good in the end. Knowing whats going to happen in the "movie" though kinda ruined tonights finale for me but it was still good.

Finally got around to watching the finale. It was a nice way of wrapping the series up. Seeing Kellerman was a surprise. It's just a bit sad to see Michael go but at least he accomplished his mission.

I hope the movie clears-up why/how Michael dies. Was he still sick? He had a nose-bleed during the beach scene. Or could it be something else?

Liked the ending, the Final Break movie coming out ruins how it ended though if you read the synopsis.

I own the first 3 seasons on DVD, after this season went real south for me, the final 3 episodes really picked it back up and I'll complete my set. I won't however buy the "movie", to me, there's a reason Fox cut those 2 episodes out, and seeing how this ended, I can see why.

I thought the same thing at first about the movie ruining the ending thanks to the synopsis but I did some more reading and it seems alright. The movie is supposed to bridge the gap between the hand over of Syla and when it flashed ahead 4 years later in the finale. I was initially under the impression that it was supposed to have taken place after the finale but thats not the case. I still think the story for the movie seems completely stupid but alteast they arent bringing anyone back from the dead again, ala Sara.

Since the show is over, I feel it's fine to talk about what happened. But if you haven't seen it yet, there are spoilers below..



I am going to watch The Final Break, merely for the emotional experience of watching Michael die.

The series finale did not deliver on that facet, but I hope the DVD does. I am glad Michael died, it helps the story, in my opinion. I was just hoping we'd get the emotional punch in the gut in the finale, but instead we got a smiling-Sara skipping to the graveyard with MJ.

The most emotional part of the flash-forward was seeing Lincoln take out the origami crane and place it on the tombstone. I want to see tears, the initial shock and emotional pain once he dies.

That's why I will watch the DVD, not for the storyline (which they've ruined since Season 2) or explosions.

Just finished watching the finale... and I'm shocked by it. Definitely wasn't expecting it. Still my favorite show of all time, and the only one that I'll own all season's on DVD/BD. Awesome series...

Not sure about the movie though.

I just watched the finale too and liked how it ended. It's still one of my favorite shows of all time, even with the runaround.

Agreed. I don't know if I'll check out the movie either. It seems like it's beating a dead horse. Not sure if I'm up to watch them travel this route...again! It's tired imo.

It seems like they brought back every possible character they could. I'm just glad at this point that it is over.

The Kellerman showing up and saving the day end is a bit "meh" for me, but you figured people would get the happy endings (minus Scofield dying)

I thought The Final Break was okay. Spoilers below for those who haven't seen it...

I absolutely hated the women's prison scenes. For the love of god, those characters were horrible. The "Daddy" chick was unbearable to watch, as was every other character. Thankfully I never have to see her or the other prisoners/guards again, except from when I go back and watch the DVD.

They made the scar (Sara's) out to be important, by showing it close-up in the final episode shown on TV, but made it absolutely worthless in the actual movie finale. Her joining that prison gang did absolutely nothing, I figured it would at least help her in her attempt to break out. Absolutely useless storyline, I don't even know why they included it.

I think Michael's death was a cop out and an unimaginative way to kill him off. He had to get around electrical malfunctions at least three times in the series, and then he kills himself off trying it once more? He did the rat trick in Season 1 (to stop the electric chair), he used the cross trick in Season 3 (McGrady's necklace), and in an episode this season he blew out the power to the court room. Yet, in this instance, he had to kill himself to get it to work? Give me a break. Why the hell didn't he just use the device he used on the first door (where he put on the gay glasses).

Don't even get me started on the whole situation of where Sara was put. She was locked up with a bunch of convicted criminals...in a *** **** prison. She hadn't even seen her day in court yet, but she was sitting amongst these people? Awful, awful writing on the part of the writing staff.

Overall, I am going to miss the show. I absolutely loved Season's 1, 2, and 3. I thought Season 4 was a steaming pile of ****, and I would have gone about it in a completely different manner, but I still will miss the series.

If you haven't seen it yet, it's worth checking out. It was kind of bad, but I'll watch anything related to Prison Break.

Go back and watch just about any episode of Season 1 and then go and watch just about any episode of Season 4. I am re-watching Season 1 right now, and holy cow is the Pilot amazing. This is the series I fell in love with.

I can't believe how much the shooting changed between the seasons. The colors, the lighting, the effects, the shots, everything was perfect in Season 1.

I wish they had kept the same guys for all four seasons, this series would have been the best ever. Watching Season 1 was like watching a movie, a true cinematic experience, whereas watching Season 4 was like watching a mid-afternoon soap opera on basic cable.

I'd say it was worth the download, wouldn't have been worth a purchase. It took predictability to a whole new level and the whole thing seemed very rushed. But it was still Prison Break, so it was at least somewhat entertaining.
