The last one should suit you well then. It is an entertaining ride and brings back the charisma from the first movie, as well as paying homage to it in several aspects. It doesn't **** around or beat around the bush either; it has a message about modern-day reboots and delivers it well. There are many involved characters and they have just enough screen time for you to care about most of them, whether they live or die.

I've seen it twice in theaters so far already, and it has earned my $23.50. I'd say it's worth $10 to see, and I think most non-critics will agree.

Finally got to see this today on Blu, much better than the 3rd movie which was terrible. If they make a 5 and 6, they really need to change the formula here. I think Blzer mentioned that maybe killing off Neve, David, and Courtney the franchise could move forward without them. The problem is that Williamson and Craven are stuck in recreating the same story over and over. Now granted they have been crafty in keeping the killers from us till the end, but if this is to continue, time to shake things up. Otherwise, if you a fan of the franchise Scream 4 was good.

I wonder how much Williamson will want to do with any future films, though. There were things that were put into this film with corny one-liners, the shaky intro, etc. that weren't a part of his screenplay, but were inserted during production. He was almost ashamed to see only his name have writing credits graced on the film, because some of it would go against him when he didn't even write it.

I contributed to the IMDb boards when this came out, and came up with some fantastic things that could have helped this film (some things involving an added killer, rewriting some of the death scenes, etc.). Otherwise, this film was a nice, worthy sequel.

It should be coming out in a couple of weeks on Blu, correct? I believe 10/4?

my main problem with scream 4 was that it didnt feel like a scream movie. no one really seems to care about having their friends die which i found rather silly. ie: sid is just sipping tea in a locked house during all the chaos.

its not a bad movie, i certainly loved the reveal, but it just wasnt like a scream movie imho.
