I Think I Love My Wife

I am so glad I saw this movie. Really was a solid movie that didn't get the love I think it deserved. Anyone else saw this movie? Couldn't find the thread on it on the site. I did "I Think I Love My Wife" and "Chris Rock" and came up short both times.

I thought this was the worst movie I ever rented from Blockbuster. I normally get lucky and don't hate what I rent, but this one was awful. My wife, then fiance, was even groaning.

        It was painful.

The sad thing is that Chris Rock is probably the funniest man on the planet today, but he can't seem to make a good movie. EVERYTHING he's in turns is garbage.

I can't wait until he hits a home run at the box office because that movie will probably be the funniest thing ever.

Chris Rock's problem is the exact same problem that Richard Pryor had for YEARS. People in Hollywood just don't know how to translate his humor to the big screen. At least Pryor was fortunate to be teamed with Gene Wilder for some very good comedic films.

Rock just hasn't found his Gene Wilder yet.

Yeah it was well done. I didn't like the singing at the end though, I thought that was the worst part of the movie. Kerry Washington Kerry Washington Kerry Washington.

Funny thing is I just had a dream that was pretty much just like the plot of this movie.

Kerry Washington Kerry Washington Kerry Washington.

I managed to not go too far in my dream, which I thought was impressive. The girl in there was a banger, though I didn't recognize her. May be someone I'll meet soon.

                        Kerry Washington.

By far the worst part of the movie. It almost ruined the entire movie for me. Why they added that in there I don't know.

At least it was at the end so you could just leave/turn it off and not miss anything.

I think a lot of you guys are too critical of the movie. I could see how the song might have been a killer for many people. Since I'm more of a fan of the 70s and 80s ballads and duets, I can really get into it. It was something that just caught me off guard. I'm more a fan of the 70s and 80s than any other music as a matter of fact. MOTOWN is where it's at.

Plus, I could slightly relate to his situation since I've been married almost a year. I've been hearing how all these other married and single guys keep the rule of looking but not touching. I saw myself in a few of those scenes. It just seemed like a solid one for me. It wasn't 100% original but what movie is. What didn't you guys like about it? You know what? It reminded me of the Sopranos a lot as a matter of fact for those "various" reasons.......

Oh, and man, Kerry Washington sure was cute before that movie but MY GOODNESS!! I couldn't wait for the wifey to come home. Washington straight let it all show in that movie. I know Chris was hoping to do that last scene with her over and over. WOW!! She looked straight paradise-like in that joint.......
