Well it was a remake so it wasn't really supposed to be 100% original.

I'm more a fan of the 70s and 80s than any other music as a matter of fact. MOTOWN is where it's at.
Man, I love that type of music as well but come on, that singing scene at the end was horrible. Just terrible. It didn't fit with the rest of the movie and I cringed my first time through, skipping it the next few times I saw the movie.

Plus, I could slightly relate to his situation since I've been married almost a year. I've been hearing how all these other married and single guys keep the rule of looking but not touching. I saw myself in a few of those scenes. It just seemed like a solid one for me. It wasn't 100% original but what movie is. What didn't you guys like about it? You know what? It reminded me of the Sopranos a lot as a matter of fact for those "various" reasons.......
Totally agree and that's why I liked the movie so much, because I could really really relate to it. The only thing I couldn't relate to, as much I would like to, is at the end when he was about to smash. Sorry, but Jesus, did you see her? Oh man, I would have touched it at least.
      PS: You guys are great.

Kerry Washington was the only thing I liked about the movie.
        NFL:Packers
        MLB:Reds/Tigers
        NHL:Red Wings
        NCAA:Michigan Wolverines.
        F-1: Ferrari.

It's been a while OS. Hope all are doing well!

You referring to your "it" or her "it" cause I'm a little confused?? I was thinking that it would have been hard to get into a situation like that and just turn it down like he did. I need to start wearing ties myself to keep myself in check. About to have a baby now so I might take a few pointers.

The music was more or less just a thing that was in their soul. I personally liked the end song because it would have been cheesy if they talked it out like that. I preferred them "communicating" with their soul and all.

Thought it was terrible, and I'm actually surprised to see this many people liked it.

                Different tastes, I guess.

Re: I Think I Love My Wife

The movie as an idea was not bad, the problem was Chris Rock. He's not a good enough actor to narrate/act/carry a whole movie, and the script wasn't funny enough to match Rock's talents. Kerry Washington was the ONLY reason to watch this movie -- in fact, watch it on mute and fast-foward thru all the scenes that don't feature her.

I enjoyed it. Although I have been married for 10 years and have 2 kids. I think that has alot to do with how you feel about this movie. Chris Rock said it best when he was talking about O.J...."I understand!"

I definitely feel that I need to watch that movie again because I don't get this reference. I think I'm going to rent it and watch with the wifey sometime. I wonder how many people who don't like it are married/single and vice versa.......

Pretty much. I am pretty much certain that if I were not married with kids I would probably feel differently about the movie. I liked it because I saw so much of the things I've gone through in it.

No Joke! Like when he goes to the club...and his wife can't get ahold of him. I rarely go out to clubs now. But when I do, part of me is having fun...the other half feels bad I didn't stay home and tuck the boys into bed like I do 99% of the time.
