Re: Google releases their own web browser
I'm tooling around with it now, i've had issues of late with build 3 of firefox as have many others with crashing.
I think i'll use chrome a lot actually, its a lot like firefox and with all the people Google has i'm sure it will constantly be upgraded and have a lot done to make it the best out there.Comment

I like the new tabs. Nothing special now, but could be when people start making add ons and themes. My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Re: Google releases their own web browser
At first glance, I'm enjoying it. Its clean, has some nice new features (incognito, one bar for everything, the default theme, speed), and is will only need to run light with many tabs open, stay responsive, and have an adblocker to become my main browser. I love Firefox but I'm sick of it becoming an irresponsive memory hog when I use it for a good bit of time.

Re: Google releases their own web browser
I think the more I used Chrome, the more I liked it. Fast, uses very little memory and overall has a nice appearance and the standard features.
I'll be using Firefox still, but it'll be my backup once Chrome is released on Linux.Comment

Anyone notice this from the Google Chrome EULA:
"By submitting, posting or displaying the content you give Google a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services"

Something I do like about the Google browser is the way your can expand the text boxes you type in (like this one I'm typing in right now). I think Safari is the only other browser I've used that allows that.

Re: Google releases their own web browser
Huh, isn't that a forum software feature and not a browser feature? It's been available in Firefox for as long as I can remember.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: Google releases their own web browser
really? that's cool. I just know in Safari it was by default, just like in Chrome. If it's a forum feature though, how come I see the expandable textbox in Chrome but not Firefox 3?Last edited by aukevin; 09-03-2008, 04:06 PM.
