But it's not like his suit is supposed to look like a bat. Batman is clearly supposed to be "a man in a bat suit," not "a bat." The TMNT's are supposed to be "turtles," not "men in turtle suits." There's a big difference.

        CGI would definitely be best.

But they will be in men in turtle suits, unless you know of a place that has 5 foot tall turtles with martial arts and acting talent. The turtles were designed to be ridiculous, just look at the title of the comic; Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles. It's supposed to be funny. Which is why the whole dark, realistic, and gritty thing won't work. It will appeal to a small percentage of the movie-going audience and would likely fail to generate enough revenue, likely ending the TMNT movie franchise for good. I'd rather they stick with the CG look and appeal to kids while also pleasing the old fans. The last film was mostly a kids thing, for a sequel I would like them to at least spend more than a half hour coming up with the script and plot. The CG was great, but the rest of the film was pretty awful.

            BOOO!

Well there goes the idea of making this a dark and gritty film then.

I think that would be the best solution however I hope that the turtles come off better then the Chipmunks and fit more into the mold of how Scooby Doo looked in his movie.

I'm hoping that the turtles look more realistic than Garfield, Scooby and Alvin. I'm not a big fan of hybrid movies, the only one that comes to mind that I like is Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

Thts the only one that worked extremely well and thats like 20 years old. The Scooby Doo movies were alright. Scooby still didn't look real though, it just didn't fit to correctly. I rather they keep the turtles real. The first 3 movies were able to do so, why not for this one?

As the series progressed, the movies had a bigger budget but made a lot less than the movie that came before it.

TMNT #1: $13.5 million budget, $135 million in revenue
TMNT #2: $20.5 million budget, $78.6 million in revenue
TMNT #3: $21 million budget, $44 million in revenue

Combine this with the fact that they wanted to go CGI because the story was so outlandish.

I saw bits and pieces of the live action show but there was a girl turtle?

I wonder if there's youtube footage?

There probably is. They had a live action tv series that had her in it.

Yea, i watched it when it was on Fox Kids, one of the worst shows on television at the time and it was right after Beetle Borgs Metallic and Power Rangers in Space which were pretty bad as well.

                                Beetle Borgs was the ish!

Anyway, the only way I go see a CGI-live action TMNT movie is if they look real.
