    Live Action TMNT

    Possibly to get a reboot.

    Thoughts?

Could be great if they made a dark one like the first one.

We need something to wash that terrible taste out of our mouths after the third; most disappointing movie ever.

Ah man, I love the Ninja Turtles. Hell yeah, bring 'em back!

On a related note, I recently saw the newest movie. It was a good blast from the past, the turtles will always have a place in my heart because I grew up with them. I liked the movie. Obviously, it wasn't going to be some benchmark in the industry but as a fan of the series, I liked it.

Ain't that the truth. I'm not a movie critic by any stretch of the imagination, but that movie was laughable.

I'm burnt out on origins and reboots. It would be silly to take the turtles and try to pull a Batman Begins out of them. They would alienate the kid crowd and no matter how dark, gritty, and serious they make it the general public isn't going to buy into the tmnt concept. A man in a bat costume-yes, five-foot tall ninja turtles-no. CGI worked really well with this franchise, they should just stick with that.

When I think Ninja Turtles,I just want to remember the 1987 cartoon series and nothing else.

Actually if you go and look for the original Eastman and Laird black and white comic books of the Turtles you'll find that they were extremely dark and quite adult for the time period.

I think that's the direction that any reboot needs to be taken to. I'd love it if those two could write the script and keep it as dark and gritty as their original vision was.

I liked the animated movie from a year or two ago. I'd like to see more of that style.

Growing up, i always thought the second one was the best, it had the action and a good vibe. I thought the first was alright and hated the third.

However right before TMNT came out, i decided to re-watch all of them again with my little brothers. And i have to say, one was definitely great. It was darker which a very reminiscent of the cartoon on fox kids last year. I found 2 to still be good, but it was much more light hearted then i remembered. And for three, it wasnt nearly as bad as i thought it was. Out of the 3 it actually step up the story nicely, and had a good pace. Still i rank them 1,2 and 3 and if we had to count TMNT then that goes right after 2 but before 3. That one scene with Leo and Ralph fighting put it above 3. That scene alone made the entire movie worth seeing a couple of times.

I'm so glad their doing a another one and even gladder its live action this time. It really does seem as if Nolan's Batman has inspired a lot of people. I just hope that not every movie decided to take the dark route, however for a new TMNT i wouldn't mind that at all. If one here watched The Turtles on fox the last two season, i hope its more like that. They ruined it with the Turtles Fast Forward crap though.

And about a live action movie, i really hope they don't go with the people who did the costumes for 3, they looked horrible in 3. In 1 they looked good and in 2 they looked more tone down and agile. Hopefully its a good mixture of 1 and 2.

I thought it was good too but they hammered the whole responsibility and teamwork part of the storyline a bit too much for my liking.

yeah they change the storytelling of the movie, but I liked the art direction a lot.

I saw the Turtles in live action... at Disney!

I'd be fine with another Turtles lives action movie... just as long as it doesn't end up like 3, or the live action TV show.

I would be there opening night.

I was so disappointed when they announced the new one was CGI and even more disappointed after I saw it. Of course, that changed after I watched again. But it doesn't even compare to the first two in the series.

I think a reboot would definitely be the right thing to do. If it is similar to the first one, I think it will be a success.
