Re: Kid Rock....
I hate hate hate All Summer Long. Its like Kid Rock is openly admitting to having no original ideas of his own. Ugh.

Re: Kid Rock....
If he is going to blatantly sample classic rock songs, at the very least he could have sampled songs that aren't played to death in every nook and cranny of the world.

Re: Kid Rock....
How is it any different from any other rap song that "samples" material. I agree its horrible when anyone does it.Comment

Re: Kid Rock....
I don't disagree at all, but at least he is doing it as a bit of a tribute to the original song "Singing Sweet Home Alabama All Summer Long" In that essence it's original compared to how other's sample music with no credit to the original song or artist...but regardless it's a sample.Comment

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Kid Rock....
.....using portions of previously made music in a song, saying a few "yeah yeah's!", barking incessantly of course throughout the song, and having the "musical piece" meet with success due to the fact that they are sampling the riff/melody/etc of an already popular song, all the while paying royalty fees to the original artist. Basically, the most brainless form of "music" out there. Hey Jmood.....do ya chayn hang lowww?Comment

Re: Kid Rock....
Huh, you asked me if I knew what sampling in rap was, and I answered. Who said anything about kid rock. Kid rock also "sampled" in that he borrowed previously recording music (the basic concept of sampling in music), took the melody from those two songs blended them together and just sang over them changing the lyrics, adopting it almost like it was his own song. When I said he sampled just like they do in rap songs, I was obviously referring to the basic concept of sampling in music (taking someone elses work and putting it into your own). While what he did in his sampled song is different than what most rappers do (I did not hear any strong curse words, anti female statements, N words, ebonic slang, etc) I feel that they are equally as criminal in terms of doing very little work and having the song succeed due to someone elses effort.Comment
