I really do not watch the ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPN Classic much anymore. ESPN and ESPN2 are loaded with worthless programming 22 hours a day. I watch football, baseball, and basketball on there if I have to, but that's it. ESPN Classic is a joke now and it's a damn shame. Where are my classic games again???

The occasional good show like OTL or a show featuring facts and analysis instead of cartoon character anchors and talking heads aren't enough to salvage the networks right now.

NFLN is good for my football fix.
I sometimes catch TNT's NBA coverage for news with a splash of funny.
My baseball coverage I get from the RSNs.

Ya that got old after the first year poker exploded, time to take it down or just put it on it's own channel for those who really watch it.

1) Sportscenter doesnt have as many highlights.

2) I don't need ESPN Sportscenter anymore. I can get better NBA highlights from NBA.com or NBA TV. NFL Network. Only thing that I can tune in for is College highlights.

I never hated ESPN as much as I did this past weekend.

I've always known they're more about entertainment then giving good sports analysis. But when they ran the same stories (Brady injury, Favre debut) over and over this past Sunday without even giving an update on all the scores, it pushed me over the edge.

I wish NFL Network would've stayed free with Comcast Digital Cable. They have a great program called the Red Zone during game time every Sunday. Unfortunately, don't get it for free anymore and I don't watch TV enough to warrant a purchase.

Sportscenter is starting to concentrate more and more on "sports-related" subjects than sports in general....I wish there was an alternative to ESPN. Well..

..to be honest, I have been watching more of my Comcast FSN sports channels, because they talk about sports and ONLY sports.

...pretty soon, before we know it, ESPN is going to merge with the E! Network....seems like that's where we're going when we see all these PTI & Around the Horn people talking about Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson.

What are you talking about? ESPN has shown a boatload of Cubs games this year! You're right about the Rays though.

I wonder how feasible it would be to have Flex scheduling for the ESPN baseball contract for late August and all September games?

Attention to college sports over professional sports. It's one thing to air one over the other, but it's another thing to air a special two hour pre-game show over something else as well. It just becomes absurd when I'm trying to watch some Giants highlights, but they only get to one play because they were too busy talking about what the second-string right tackle from Ball State ate for brunch. I still remember the night the Marlins won the World Series that Sportscenter decided to show a few highlights of college football before the Game 5 recap.

Also the fact that Sportscenter gets its time regardless, and we'll be able to catch the start of that after another program draws on too long for one reason or another... while a show like Baseball Tonight either has to continue midway through the program or gets erased completely. For example, say a game starts at 6:00 on ESPN and Baseball Tonight comes on from 9:00 - 10:00. If the game runs any time at all between 9:00 and 10:00, it cuts that much time out of Baseball Tonight. Then at 10:00, Sportscenter runs from then until about 10:00 the next morning. It doesn't make any sense that they don't let us baseball fans get at least one hour in the day and Sportscenter just re-runs the entire time.

I don't hate ESPN, they are what they are. I really only watch it for games they broadcast, Baseball Tonight, and to catch highlights on Sportscenter. Although during football season, I catch all the NFL highlights on the NFL Network, and I prefer their NFL Network's college football shows to anything ESPN offers.

It is what it is, and serves its purpose. Funny thing is, so many people claim to hate it, but they keep watching it.
