Yes...She looks good with short hair (IMO) but better with long hair.

I tend to favor longer hair over short hair anyways, especially vs. "mom hair", but every situation is different.

lol, no posts here since November?

Something people started picking up on, don't know how long it's been going on for, but this past weeks episode was only 18 minutes long. Standard 30 min tv shows are around 21-22 minutes(including intro/credits), but BBT was just 18 without credits. They're really just making money at this point in the shows run and not having so many great storylines. Even the best of shows(Friends) ended after 10 seasons. BBT seems like it's run its course.

And something I've never thought to bring up before, but how exactly did Leonard/Penny get the apartment? It's Sheldons to begin with, so why do they just get to kick him out and send him to Pennys smaller/cheaper apartment instead of letting Sheldon just keep his own apartment that he's had years before Leonard even moved in with him....

It's on the verge of a two year renewal so it will probably run it's course at 12 years.

Still one of my favorites shows.

Friends barely made it to 10 seasons, but it didn't crash and burn because of lost momentum or viewer disinterest-the cast didn't want to go on anymore, despite making $1 million per episode in the final two seasons.

I take it that Raj's sister Priya is now married. His dad said 5 of his 6 children are now married.

Saw that the main cast was each taking a 100k-ish cut to let Mayim and Melissa get a bit more each.

I think this show has really changed over time (in a good way, growing), so they don't run into the "what's next to do" as much. We could easily see Leonard and Penny have a kid in the future, or Sheldon/Amy getting married, etc. Raj and his relationships...

Like you mention, as long as the show does well and the cast enjoys it then why not keep going...Doesn't feel like Two and a Half Men (which I personally didn't watch) where that hit the wall big time.

Don't know how well that'd work. They're basically just gonna re-visit all the stories Sheldon mentioned about his childhood(like getting chased up a tree by a chicken, and his mother having him tested to see if he was crazy).

Probably just trying to capitalize on the BBT big audience by hoping they'll just stick around with this show too. Though obviously Jim Parsons makes the Sheldon character great, so having some kid playing the younger Sheldon won't seen as good. They tried having spinoff of Friends with Joey and look how that went. This show could have similar fate even if it's a "prequel" and not a "sequel"

Yeah, the kid would almost have to make the character his own, but at the same time older Sheldon will always loom in the background. I will obviously give this a chance but I'm skeptical.

I don't know about the Prequel. Can't see them finding a child actor to match Sheldon.

It'd really just depend on the writing and actors...spinoffs can work (Frasier) but here it'll be tough to recreate Sheldon as a kid and meet expectations...

                      I'd check it out though.

Saw a rumor that they were interested in Laurie Metcalf's real life daughter to be the mom in the prequel.

I do like the idea of her daughter. And yea I would definitely watch it but I going to keep my expectations low for it.

Bialik And Rauch Probable Pay Raise

So if it all works out the Top Five (Sheldon-Leonard-Penny-Howard-Raj) will go down from $1 million per episode to $900,000 freeing up $500,000 ($100,000 X 5) per episode for Bernadette and Amy which would raise their pay from $200,000 to $450,000 per episode.

Very rarely though do spin-offs work. For every Fraiser, there's a bunch of Joey's and That 80s shows. Might catch fans at first, but nostalgia wares off and people stop watching because it's hard recreating same feel as something that was successful.

Even on TV today, you don't see awhole lot. CW has 2, but they're running alongside the show they spun off of, and comic world is use to that type of stuff.

Spin-offs have the luxury of acquiring a good size built in audience, because the original was well received. If the spin-off is actually good it will probably succeed. It's chances of failing aren't increased because it's a spin-off or anything to do with nostalgia wearing off, it's just that it didn't take advantage of it's prime positioning. Joey was horrible, Better Call Saul is great. Frasier was a work of art, After Mash was a Hawkeye-less stateside reunion.

I just see this as a "disadvantaged spin-off" because you have no returning actors and you have the shadow of man-child Sheldon behind the actual child Sheldon. The kid that plays the lead will have to hit it out of the park for this one to succeed.

The kid has to be a phenomenal actor for it to work.

There's also a chance if the dad is a great character too since we don't really know him other than Sheldon's stories.
