Re: It All Started with a Big...BANG!: The Official Big Bang Theory Thread

Entering S9 now. S8 filled with work Bernadette, ungrateful Penny and ends with Shamy breaking up. Entering what I already know is a set of bad seasons.

Funny thing I read online thats true, Stuart and Denise are the most compatible couple currently on the show, Shamy 2nd. Bernadette is meant to Howard, Penny still acts better than Leonard and looks down on his interests. Shamy have funny moments still and Amy has rubbed off on Sheldon. But Stuart and Denise get along really well.

Speaking of Shamy, my theory was debunked. Actress playing Amy admitted she never knew what BBT was and thought she was being cast for a game show. They were casting simply for a female Sheldon (I found out she wasn't even supposed to be a long term character). I guess that Blossom reference really was a crazy coincidence because there weren't plans to bring her in and she wasn't a fan of the show.

I absolutely loved the show the first 5-6 seasons. Haven't watched since like 2016, it just got too repetitive and I lost all interest. Is it worth catching up on every season? I know I want to at least watch the final episode. Should I just start watching now and catch the last 10?

Might as well watch the ones you haven't before show ends, because I doubt you'll care to do so once it does end. It's not mandatory (sitcoms don't have huge amount of storyline progression where you'll be lost after missing episodes), but there were some significant life changes.

If you haven't seen since 2016(I'm guessing the 15/16 season?) then that's just 2 seasons to watch before this current one. Episodes are like 20 minutes so shouldn't be hard to bingewatch if you want.

Forgot to mention, tonight's episode is really star studded.

Weird having Joe Manganiello playing himself on BBT, because I remembered him as a reoccurring character on himym.

I thought it was hilarious and one of the better episodes in a while.

On a connected note, Young Sheldon has been renewed for two more seasons.

2 seasons, so unless the show changes timelines, season 5 is likely happening and will have the big moment of the series.

If they haven't already, a writer should just watch every bbt episode from start to finish, and write down every sheldon childhood moment talked about. Lots of material I've seen from just watching bbt.

I think it might have happened already. Could've sworn it was referenced that she did in an earlier episode, but could be wrong

Yeah he said something like she did and he wasn't crazy I think to his brother ... but I think he has said it before on this show, so who knows if I'm remembering it correctly.

Forgot to mention that tonight the show returns from its final break.

Every week from now until finale will be new episodes.

4 episodes/3 weeks left of the show (1 hour finale on May 16).

After the finale, they're airing a 30 minute special, basically doing a "behind the scenes" look at BBT.

I would've aired that BEFORE the finale, but I'm guessing they're just hoping the audience carries over from the finale into that show too.

I would laugh if in the finale they all are moving out of the apartment building and they see a mechanic fixing the elevator.
Bumping my previous post. Wonder if any of these will come to fruition by May 16th.

Dont know of revealing Penny's last name will really have as big an impact anymore. She took Leonard's name anyways, so that last name doesn't mean much anymore.

I've said it before, Anu is a horrible character. From the moment she started going all lawyer/financial planner mode on Raj on date #1 I knew she wasn't good.

The only way it happens is if they flash forward in the final episode

She hasn't really been on the show, so it is weird that she was even added to the script.

There was a preview clip with Raj and Howard, there were clues to the location but not purpose.
