Pennys last name should be Cosmo, or Cosmos, or Kramer, or Wyatt (Keith Carradines characters name on BBT)

Weird how the show is ending in a few days but it doesn't feel like the shows ending, or that it's the end of the longest running comedy ever. Possibly the end of an era in TV in terms of major hit sitcoms.

Seinfeld and Friends did get to run alongside for a few years. BBT premiered just few years after Friends ended. We'll still see sitcoms for a long time, but who knows when next one will come around to come close to this level of popularity.

I just hope the ending isnt something bad. 2 and a half men ending was basically just set up to almost make fun of Charlie/break the 4th wall. HIMYM ending got hated so much by fans.

Not sure what kind of ending would make me hate it. Maybe a Leonard-Penny divorce or something. Or the "it was all just a dream" ending(like we saw in an earlier episode when Leonard was dreaming about what if he and Penny got back together).

After the finale, they're airing a 30 minute special, basically doing a "behind the scenes" look at BBT.

I would've aired that BEFORE the finale, but I'm guessing they're just hoping the audience carries over from the finale into that show too.
Not sure why you would prefer that particularly if they had a major reveal or event occur in the finale worth talking about. Even if they didn't the special should be positioned to wrap it all up.

On another note, my U-verse DVR interface doesn't set up an automatic recording for tonight's finale. It cites the final two episodes (The Change Constant; The Stockholm Syndrome) in a one-hour block but treats it as a rerun. I almost missed it but set it up manually and added an hour to the end.

I hate that about recordings. You have it set up, and if the littlest change happens(like you set a 8-9pm recording weekly and tvguide suddenly has it listed at 8:01 for a week,) it throws it off.
But I'd prefer special before because the final scene should be the final moment of the series. Unless like you said, something happens worth discussing. Though the special sounds more like just a behind the scenes tour of the set and reflecting leading up to the finale

Would've been cool having a Survivor like reunion show. 1 hour just hearing the cast reflect back on everything.

Bravo! Really enjoyed the finale. Lots of laughs and plenty of tears. Really going to miss this show!

A heads up: The cast are on Colbert tonight.

              Now starting watching the finale.

They did a behind the scenes show in Canada beforehand. It's all making things too sad already.

As much as the show went downhill later on, still so sad watching. I've never watched a finale of a show that's been on this long. Even shows like Friends, I didn't see it when it first premiered.

The elevator finally fixed!!! Getting it over with minutes into the episode.

Wasn't expecting Penny to be pregnant. I guess the 2 month skip can cover for them just putting it into the finale.

Finale was nice. First part I found better than part 2.

Ending didn't have that memorable series finale moment I was hoping for. Wasn't sad or anything either. At least everyone got a happyish ending. Did Raj just get a flat ending? They ditched his former fiance and just randomly had him sitting next to Buffy.

Really didn't feel like full closure on show or characters.

I watched the special that aired after. Absolutely could've been done before BBT, but for ratings purposes, they had it later. Though the final scene on the special was sadder than final scene on BBT.

Raj deserves a spin-off. And it should be a crossover spin-off combined with a That 70's Show spin-off. Lonely Old Man Fez lives next-door to Raj.
