David Blaine stunt gone wrong?

Anybody see the David Blaine special that was just on TV? After hanging upside down for 3 days in a row (a show of endurance I guess) he was then supposed to finish the stunt by perform some "death dive".

From the look of it, it looks like something went wrong with the trick, since after jumping David was just suspended by some chord from his back (initially looked like a safety chord). He stayed hanging in mid-air for a bit with an odd smile on his face (reminded me of Ashley Simpson when she was caught lip-syncing), then he was flown out. It was all very strange, like the trick did not go as planned. Even the announcer did not know what to say. The crowd was just there, puzzled and quiet.

At first glance I thought he had hung himself! But I guess the illusion was supposed to be him disappearing into the sky.

I liked the street tricks though, so it wasn't totally wasted.

I still don't even see the point of what he was trying to do in the first place. Was he supposed to jump and land on his feet? Whatever it was, didn't seem to work. Then they tried to spin it by having him magically disappear.

Actually fans saw him because it was open the entire time. He got down every hour i heard.

I really do hope the stunt went wrong, and that isn't what was supposed to happen.

Yeah, I believe he was allowed to stand upright to go to the bathroom, and maybe eat? Although, I heard he wasn't eating solid foods for obvious reasons....

I didn't understand the hanging upside down part at all; it had nothing to do with the end "stunt". It was all jacked up too at the end. It was kind of sad to watch such epic failure. I did enjoy the street tricks though like always.

The failure of the announcer to spin at the end with, "He vanished mysteriously into the air" bit was equally epic.

David Blaine's a twat. The entire "trick" was stupid, since it's impossible to stay upside down for that long without seriously injuring yourself.

He stood up every 45 minutes or something like that so he could get proper blood flow through his body.

Yep, and apparently the ending was jacked up. David Blaine is just a crazy idiot who does stupid "stunts". He's a great street magician but all this other crap just makes people hate him.

This trick was LAME, but some of his other endurance stuff was pretty good.

The last two, this and the water globes finals stunt were lame, the staying underwater for that long was cool though

He is still 10000000000000000000Xs better than faker Criss Angel

This trick was LAME, but some of his other endurance stuff was pretty good.

totally agree with you,i thought the funniest one was when he turned 5 ones into 5 100 dollar bills and hes got the people asking him how he did it hahah

Not only did Blaine stand up almost every hour but a couple of his "breaks" lasted almost 20 minutes on his feet. To be honest this "trick" is something most of us could do.
