+12
106 and Park-A complete knock knock joke
Rap City-A downright embarrassment from it USED to be.(Don't even know if it still comes on AT ALL)
Took off the Wayans Bros.(Was one of the best shows on BET and all they showed was reruns)
And last but not least, removing BET Uncut.#RespectTheCultureComment

Agreed AA.
I even flipped over to MTV one early morning around 3/4am and they were still showing reality shows. Just a few years ago, I'd atleast be able to turn over then and see music videos.
The only channels I go to for actual 'music videos' would be FUSE and surprisingly enough, Gospel Music Channel. They actually play a ton of great music. One day I turned over and they played Mae and Anberlin back to back. You wouldn't ever see that on MTV.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

God honest truth here man. I hadn't seen Rap City in YEARS (when Tigga left) until I saw like the other day or something and T-Pain was on it with some other gold in the mouth fool. They called themselves going into the booth and I swear a tear almost fell out of my eye it was so embarrassing. It was ridiculously sad. Tig was the last link back to the good old days with Joe Claire, Big Lez and "The Mayor" Chris Thomas and Prince Dejour.PS: You guys are great.

Re: What has happened to...MTV and The Disney Channel?
Last semester someone said the old cartoons that used to be played were taken off because of 'violence' (Roadrunner and Tom & Jerry). Cartoon Network/Adult Swim is really the only option for the cartoons it seems
The only thing I liked from MTV was Rob & Big but that got old quick. If MTV went under I wouldnt even notice.Aaron

When BET got rid of Donnie Simpson,I stopped watching. I never really was a Rap City,I was more of a Yo MTV Raps guy(well at least until they got rid of Fab Five Freddy.)
Has far as MTV being an awful channel,I haven't watched it since Beavis and Butt-head went by the wayside. How long ago was that.Comment

Please, the Cartoon Network is a joke. And about the only decent night on Adult Swim is on Fridays. Seriously, Tom Goes to the Mayor? What the **** is that ****?Comment

Re: What has happened to...MTV and The Disney Channel?
MTV is utterly terrible. It's all stupid TV shows now. Really stupid shows.
I liked the 1st season of The Real World, but that turned out to be the death of MTV. Now it's all shows.
Just give me back my music videos.GT: Herkyalert

Re: What has happened to...MTV and The Disney Channel?
Do they have the agenda or is the agenda created for them? I know my daughter gets mesmorized by the old Disney cartoons, but loses attention quickly with the new stuff.
I am in the boat that History repeats itself and what was old will be new again. Think about it, when I was a kid I preferred Bugs Bunny and Looney toons to the "new" cartoons of the day. Bugs Bunny was made in the 40's, 50's & 60's. It was classic then, its classic now.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Re: What has happened to...MTV and The Disney Channel?
When I was a kid...the Disney Channel actually show Disney Cartoons. Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, etc. Not only that, but they had kick butt kid's shows like a live action Winnie The Pooh series and they showed all of the old Disney movies like Swiss Family Robinson, Davey Crockett, 20,000 Leagues under the Sea, etc.
Now...it's nothing but ridiculously cheesy 30 minute shows like Zack and Cody and Hannah Montana.
.
Yes! That show is entertaining at times!
Not really, we just got older. These shows now are no more cheesy then the ones we watched when we were younger.Comment

Not really.. they still show cartoons and Disney stuff in the morning. Still have educational shows for the little babies/young children in the morning.
Exactly!

I will say Toon Disney let me down as they stopped showing stuff like Darkwing Duck, Ducktales, and switch to more Proud Family and such.Comment

Yea MTV's been like that for several years now, however Disney really bites. They used to be about cartoons and their the center of everything "high school" and "musical."Comment
