Re: Dexter Season Three
Paramount+ with SHOWTIME official site, featuring The Curse, Yellowjackets, Billions, Dexter: New Blood, The Chi, and other popular original series. Schedule, videos and more.
Enter the code- Lady Killers when prompted and you can watch the first episode of both Californication and Dexter online if you so choose. I was tempted to watch Dexter but havent gotten around to it as of yet.
EDIT- I just checked it out and it required I log in but there was a place to register so if you dont have an account on Showtimes website then you can register and still watch it. I was never prompted for the password above but in case you are I will leave it. Lastly, the button to launch the player seems a little finnicky so just keep trying to click on the "Watch Now"" button and it will launch the player once it registers. -

Re: Dexter Season Three
I sure hope it keeps up in quality because I 'm just thinking that their is only so much you can do with this type of show before it gets stale. Every season can't be about Dexter and the gang looking for a new serial killer who Dexter identifies with.
I still say they should have used last years storyline for the final season of the series as they usually know in advance with cable shows when that is gonna occur. The threat of Dexter finally getting caught would have been a suitable ending to the show.Comment

Re: Dexter Season Three
I had no idea that the season was starting today. Thanks.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Dexter Season Three
Spoiler Alert
Wasn't impressed by the debut episode. May have been the weakest show ever. There was no real tension and just seemed the actors were going thru the motions.
The hints that there's another serial killer and that Dexter might get caught again after he killed the guys brother just seems like a rehash of stuff that's already been done. Shouldn't have Dexter made sure that the guy he wanted to kill was alone in the house. He always seems meticulous that way. Seemed kinda sloppy just to create a storyline with t Jimmy Smits.
The last bit with Rita being pregnant was suprising but it's not really a direction I want to see the show go as it just makes it too much like a soap opera. I really don't look forward to hearing Dexter's thoughts about being a daddy and why that might be bad idea for the next 12 shows. We all know it's not a good idea hopefully we are not hammered over the head with it every week. Hopefully the next show is better or Dexter might be putting on those waterskis and getting ready to jump that shark soon.Comment

Good stuff with Lt Maria feeling left out and Debra balancing being taken off the "Smit's brother" case and staying loyal to a fellow officer. I like Angel with more authority, particularly as Debra's boss.
All that being said I'm not digging the domestication of Dexter, at least not on any serious eat up of screen time. The only thing I agree with Seymour about is getting hammered over the head with Dex's thoughts on parenthood. Hopefully, this issue is resolved quickly, even tragically, or it could severely hamper the show. We will know more next week.Comment

Re: Dexter Season Three
This episode was weak, but I thought it was weak because it was basically re-introducing all the characters so that anyone who is just starting the show now could follow along. They even used the same donut delivery scene from season one.
To me that was a throw away episode, but I'm expecting much more come this Sunday.Comment

Re: Dexter Season Three
Oh, you've got Dexter on the verge of "jumping the shark" after one show-such patience? What if "Smit's" brother arrived at the scene seconds before Dexter, possibly by foot? It doesn't seem too contrived to have a possible junkie at a drug dealer's house at any given moment, even under the radar of a great hunter. I don't think Dex has X-Ray vision. Your insinuation that the show overreached in that regard to give Smit's a storyline is an overreach in itself.

The way Dexter got out of it makes Jimmy Smits look like the stupidest man on earth and he's supposed to be a top DA? It was just lame and I guess Smits took his word for it and leaves the scene because if he sees the room where Dex came out of it sure as hell won't look like self defense. It's just lazy writing. I'm not bashing this show because the 1st 2 seasons were magnificant and I'm a big fan, maybe that's why this season has been pretty uninspiring so far as they Seem rushed to have Dex in all these compromising situations and talking his way out of it with the stupidest logic. The guyseems to have horseshoes up his *** because the DA is naive and Dex happens to find his tooth at the dealer's house 2 minutes after he arrives while the cops have been there for hours and don't see it. You don't need to put him in peril about getting caught every show. The show's a success based on the Dexter persona and how he goes about things, not evading the cops every week because he's all of a sudden developed severe brain cramps.
Not to harp on this baby storyline but it's just pointless and stupid and another example of lazy writing. We all know how it's going to end. Rita will have a miscarraige on the last show because of some danger she's in because of Dexter's activities. There's no way Dexter becomes a father because it would be pretty hard next season to have Dexter living with Rita finding excuses to go out at night to kill people when he should be home changing diapers.
It's akin to when they add that cute little kid to sitcoms for comic relief when ratings are sagging or the Sopranos focusing on annoying AJ's teen problems the last season because they're running out of material, only problem is Dexter doesn't need it because ratings aren't sagging and it's only the 3rd season.Last edited by Seymour Scagnetti; 10-07-2008, 04:26 PM.Comment
