Better than the 2nd Season barely, but slightly behind the 1st.

Only two really, really dumb things this season. Dude throwing uppercuts and wearing beaters after having half is back removed and Deb/Quinn not calling in backup/SWAT Team on a ridiculously great lead. Would never have happened with any decent cop.

Not my ranking-I give Season 3 a clear lead over all of them. #2 is my least favorite, mostly because of Dexter's possessive annoying booty call.
Tonight's episode is one of my favorite Dexters.

                Re: Dexter Season Three

No disrespect guys but i found this show perhaps the most disappointing show ever of Dexter. I thought the season started off slow but was building nicely with the Dex\Prado union and I thought the prior show was one of the best ever but they use a cheap soap opera type cliffhanger to resolve it. I was hyped all week about Dex being a victim to the Skinner and how he would handle it but they use this bachelor party to explain the abduction, Yeah it took by suprise because it was incredibly lame and I didn't think the show would resort to this cheap method of creating tension and then blowing it off with this. What a letdown.

First off how the hell did a small guy like Masuka jump a blackbelt like Dex and tie his hands up and throw him in the trunk. He didn't knock him out which I thought the Skinner had did in the end of last show. They had so many possibilities the last 2 shows with Prado and blew it bigtime to show a stupid wedding in the finale. Is this Dexter or Sex in the City.

What was the point of showing the Skinner watching Dex and Prado yelling at Dex not to **** with him if they didn't go anywhere with it. Prado's abduction and death was anti-climatic. I thought he would of went after Rita and something would of happened with the baby, just so many directions they could of went with Prado. They made him look like a genious and he became stupid all of a sudden this show and dies without a fight.

Now we have the wedding to look forward to and whether Deb will swear in her speech. Wow, how suspenseful. This show has almost jumped the shark and I have no clue how they are gonna make it interesting next year with Dex more worried about soiled diapers than being a vigilante. What a waste of sucha good concept for a show. I don't think I'll even watch the finale because I have no interest.

I'm with JayBee . Sunday's episode was one of my favorites and it seems the Season 3 finale will be my favorite episode!

Strange I've been watching this show since the pilot aired like 3 years ago its amazing to see how popular it is now. Its well deserving because a Dexter episode is better than most films that get released to the theater.

How do you know just Masuka jumped him??? You don't.

Hold your horses I'm sure the Skinner will play a big role in the finale.

The finale is set up just fine with reactions and consequences to Prado's death, a vengeful Prado brother causing trouble for Dex, and the "Dex is a victim to the Skinner scenario" that you were anticipating so much. How you are making the finale ONLY about the wedding with all this going on escapes me.
You are also overstating Dex's "diaper dilemma", because we don't even know if the wedding goes off or that a miscarriage occurs.
I will agree that Dex's "kidnapping" suspended belief a bit, but my interest in the show wasn't ruined because of it-actually I thought it was a rather minor convenience for the writers.
Prado went down relatively easy, but gave us one of the best Dexter death scenes to date. The picture of Lt. Maria up there with the DA was priceless.

True since, there were several people involved with the bachelor party. He could have been overpowered by 2 or 3 when his hands were taped.

We don't get next week's preview on the Canadian channel so I'm assuming you got all this info from that. Anyways I don't see how he has to worry about Prado's brother if he's gonna set up the death to look like it's the Skinner and I hope there's' a Skinner showdown but I figure the SKinner has bigger problems right now than looking for Dex.

I assume one guy took Dex down into the trunk because even Dex himself was thinking it was the Skinner and I think he would have known if there was more than one guy involved in tackling him and throwing him in the trunk. He has no reason to assume that the Skinner would have partners so it had to be one guy who did it.

Yeah, the previews show a fully clothed, dead Prado in an open grassy area with a very distinct "garrote burn" on his neck. No visual info on whether Dex skinned the body to make it look like the Skinner. Also in the previews is Oscar Prado telling Dex that Miguel hired him as a bodyguard to protect him from you [Dex]. Oscar also somehow contacted the police and they ransacked Dex's apartment. He also points a gun at Dex at the wedding in the presence of Miguel's wife and Rita.
Dex is shown bound by chains in a semi open warehouse, at the apparent hands of the Skinner-could be Oscar though.

Well sounds better but damn Jaybee that's way too much info. These previews show way too much where it kinda ruins the next show so I'm glad they don't show them here. At least you gave me reason to watch the finale.

Glad to help. I disagree with you about the previews. I think they show just enough to wet the appetite.
I think Oscar will be Dexter's main antagonist in Season 4, assuming he survives the finale.
Anyone notice Lt. Maria's revived attraction to Dex when he made the under the table remark?
I thought Jimmy Smits was fantastic this season and I hope he gets some love at the Emmys.

Yeah I was never a fan of Smits before but he was the best guest starring character the show's ever had. He was memorable and I hope this opens up new acting avenues because I think he showed he can play a bad guy pretty well.
