But I know some people who have met her and she is very nice and accomodating. Just a wonderful couple who never took themselves too seriously. And both a huge talents.

Nice to know. In a 1998 interview with Larry King he explained his good marriage as a combination, of lust, respect and patience. Not exactly a pat answer.

first thing i said to my wife when i heard the news, "cool hand look has died." great actor man, and a very diverse dude when it came to his interests. though 83 years is a good run, still seems too soon. i guess no time is/was enough when your time comes...RIP...
