Wow I think season 3 is done. They are showing it from the beginning of season 3 on NBC starting the 16th

"Friday Night Lights" (9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, Channel 3): The acclaimed drama begins its third season on NBC, although episodes were available earlier to DirecTV subscribers.
If the January parade of prime-time programming seems a little more crowded than usual, that's because it is. You should have no problem spotting television's tallest midseason marchers, from wily Jack Bauer to wicked Simon Cowell. They're not likely...

There are 2 more shows on DTV to end the season. January 7th and 14th. Those will air before it debuts on NBC.

Same here my wife and I love this show. I really like the premise they are setting up for a possible 4th season. I am still missing a lot of the interaction between Matt and Landry

Great ending to possibly the best season so far. Hopefully they bring it back for a 4th season.

Haven't seen the last one yet (I live in Hawaii, so it's not on for 3 more hours), but I agree. This season has been great. I hope they continue it, but I doubt they will.

Re: Directv subscribers, don't forget about Friday Night Lights

I haven't had a chance to catch this season and hopefully will if and when it is re-ran on NBC. However, I've heard/read a few things that kind of are concerning that I was hoping someone could clarify:

              1) Riggins is back for another senior year. In other words he was a senior last year and is back at school drinking and playing football as a senior again this year.

              2) Lyla, who was a born again Christian last season, is kind of a school horror this year with no rhyme or reason to it and no mention of her ways last season.

A few of the other knocks I heard were that there is a lot less football action and a lot more soap opera action and once again almost every game is won on the final possession as time expires with some super play. Not a big deal, because the first few seasons were like this.

              Thanks!

                1) I wasn't sure about the Riggins thing either, but at the same time, with the way he is, would it really be surprising if he had to repeat his senior year? Also, I could be wrong, but I don't recall them ever saying that Riggins was a senior in season 2.

                2) The only person Lyla is seeing this season was Riggins. Not sure where you heard that one from.

As for the football, there's 10 minutes of football in every episode. I can't recall any episodes that didn't have football anyway. I won't comment on the miracle wins though. If you want to find out about those, you have to watch it.

Re: Directv subscribers, don't forget about Friday Night Lights

Well I haven't seen the last one yet, I'll watch it tonight. But as far as I see...
1.) I'm also not sure about Riggins. But even if he had to repeat his senior year, he would have used up his last year of athletic eligibility.

2.) TrevyTrev is kinda right about this one. Lyla kinda turned into a born again Christian last year but now she's just kinda around partying, drinking, but just not being as whorish as before. They've made no mention of her Bible studies or whatever she was doing in the school, she's not near as preachy as she was toward the end of the last season. Heck, I'm not sure of her purpose really either.

And I thought there was more football in this season than in the last season. And the storylines seem to fit around football a little more. And no stupid murder storylines either, in fact it's funny that something of that "magnitude" doesn't even get mentioned again lol. But hooray for the writers for ditching it.

He wasn't a senior in Season 2. You are mistaken.

Season 3 was much better than season 2 and I loved season 2. They left a lot of things hanging out there in the finale. If you don't watch this program, you are missing one of the great shows ever on TV.

They never said Riggins was a senior last year.

Even in season 1 it sure seemed like Riggins was probably a senior, maybe a junior. Same with Lyla imo. But they never came out and said it. I think they tried to avoid saying what year most of the players were because they weren't sure how many seasons there would be.

Season 3 was very good imo. I think season 1 was the best, but I think season 3 was pretty close..

They aren't great numbers but I think its pretty much what they were around or at the last two years. I figure if it does better than what was in that spot (Lipstick Jungle I think) and Direct TV is happy with the show ( which they are) then it will stay.

Wow, so I just watched the whole third season (don't have DirecTV, so had to acquire them by other means...). FNL is still by far the best show on television right now, and it's a shame it's just coming on NBC now.
