I guess it would be out of place to point out that it's blu ray.....not blue ray?

I started out with HD-DVD and now own both. The PS3 does a nice job, especially with handling the lossless audio.

I didn't get the other reference. So I am glad someone made sense out of this.

Oh, believe me. I know and remember the Road Warriors very well. I was born and raised in Charlotte.....WOOOOOOO!!!......North Carolina...the longtime home of Jim Crockett Promotions (Mid-Atlantic Territory...the entity that eventually became WCW). The Scaffold Match they had against the Midnight Express at Starcade was amazing!

For bonus points, who was their manager?

Starcade! Awesome reference. I don't remember their manager, I'm pretty sure it was not Jim Cornett. Paul Ellering maybe? Those old managers were great. Jimmy Hart and Jim Cornett were guys you loved to hate.

Re: When in doubt....make it up

The best thing happened last night. This lady came in looking for a Vacuum cleaner. She was a middle aged lady, she had some heavy make up on her though. All she kept doing was giggling.

So she asked one of the new staff members a question on a vacuum, since he wasn't sure he called me over. I gave her some ideas and then proceeded to call over one of the Team Leads to better inform her.

All she kept doing was asking the same question over and over. "I want a good vacuum, something i don't have to assemble and it has to be great at picking up dirt, however it has to cost somewhere between $60-$70."

Well that made sense, but she kept repeating it over and over even though the Team Lead was telling her which vacuum to get. Not only that, but she kept giggling after every sentence. It was very funny. Then when she finally picked one, she asked the Team Lead she doesn't have to assemble it right? and if she did would he come over to do it for her.

When she left, we couldn't help but laugh. At first i thought she was drunk, but she didn't smell like booze.

                Fun times at Target

I caught it, I just didn't want to hark on you, harking on somebody else.

Your story for some reason reminds me of this time I was in line with my ex-girlfriend at Nordstrom as she was buying some clothes. As the cashier was ringing us up, this extremely fat lady approaches the counter to our right and barks, "Excuse me! This top here says 'One size fits all,' but it don't fit me!"

That wasn't the funniest part though, as afterward the cashier just had absolutely no idea how to respond to it. I mean... how do you respond to something like that? At first it started to sound like he was going to say, "Well, there are exceptions..." just with the way he was making his hand gestures and the look he had, etc. Then I think he was going to start apologizing or something, and panting, he called someone else over to help her out. Surprisingly, I never saw her again.

Yep, Paul Ellering was their manager. And while we're on the topic of old school managers (Thread Hijack Alert), remember Precious? She was Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin's valet. She would come with him out to the ring spraying him with hairspray, lol. Good stuff!

Paul Ellering is or had been a dogsled racer now. He had raced in the Iditarod several times. My class does a project on the Iditarod and each of my students follow a musher, I always choose Precious Paul.

Back on topic, makes me a little nervous as a consumer to think of buying electronics at a box store without conducting prior research. So I guess it serves the customer right for wanting to save a few bucks by being told something that is not possibly true.

Yep. I guess the combo of having worked in the electronics dept at Sears and now a teacher makes those typos hard to resist pointing out.
