    Screamo = a suicide note.

          I like a couple songs by ASL. "Stand Up", "The Art of Sharing Lovers" and "Hang 'Em High" which I first heard on MLB 07 I think.

            It's not heavy metal at all so how can it give metal a bad rap?

              Alright, I know this is kind of weird since I obviously like this type of music, but how exactly do you define "Post-Hardcore"?

                  The first four songs off the new album Overcome are simply outstanding and great mix of harmony and growling.

                  I think its great, especially considering I bought both Rattlesnake and Overcome at the same time and that was a good day of music

                    A Static Lullaby isn't to terrible. I don't really like their style of post hardcore too much because I like more clean vocals in there. All That Remains is terrible as far as hat I like. WAY too much screaming and growling and too little singing.

                              There's just not enough of regular vocals on Rattlesnake! to make me want to listen to it. It doesn't hold a candle to their self titled album. That one gets me so pumped, it's really awesome and I've been really into it recently. Rattlesnake! is a little too gruesome for me too... it's too weird. It sucks too because I really like the one guy's voice and the other's emotional screams is a good compliment but should not be the focus.

                              I'm a big fan of Scary Kids Scaring Kids though. Everything, from "After Dark" up to their self titled album released last summer.

                              I've known of Dead Poetic for a while now but have never remembered to check out more of their stuff. Definitely potential though and I should get around to listening to more of their stuff.

                              I'm not so much a fan of screaming as I am a fan of adding a little more emotion with the screams. Some of that stuff is just flat out annoying. I can't stand any growling. And I hate when they put in the screaming just because they feel like they have to... a lot of these guys have a good voice, they should use it because a lot of the screaming sounds the same and just generalizes them. It's so disappointing when a song is ruined by some silly screamo when it's not needed.

                              One of my favorite bands is Funeral for a Friend. I don't think they're post-hardcore anymore because they haven't had much screaming in their songs since their debut full length album "Casually Dressed & Deep in Conversation". I can listen to any single one of their songs at any time. They're my second favorite band right behind Rise Against.

                                Thats pretty much how I feel also. Screaming should be used to add emotion to the song, and I'm not a big fan of growling either. Sometimes the occasional scream just adds so much more to a song imo.
