If you watch Bronson, make sure you prepare yourself for a really weird story. Warrior was extremely underrated and he beats the **** out of a lot of people, which is entertaining.

Yeah, I just watched the trailer for Bronson. The fact that Refn directed it has me interested too. It definitely gives off A Clockwork Orange vibe or at least the trailer does.

I'd personally like to see the opposite, for good measure. Maybe 3D is trending so well, that it's the main reason they profit so well.

The whole plan really made no sense whatsoever.

The more I read in this thread, the more I find out a lot of stuff I didn't catch at first didn't make sense.

Lot of plot holes.

It would be impossible for me to go watch this movie again objectively. I would be too focused on all those flaws. I'm too analytical for my own good sometimes

What I'm saying is that the plot holes, coupled with a really sub par story line is what ultimately made me not enjoy this movie. The rest of my synopsis is back a few pages, but that is the short and sweet of it.

What really bugged was this scene

When the cops meet up with the criminals in the street and all cops had pistols and the criminals had all automatic weapons. It's like they said f using automatic weapons and creating distance and lets go have a fist fight! That didn't make sense to me at all.

The setup for the fight wasn't the best (where was Gotham's citizens during all of this, anyway?), but with Batman/Bane fighting and Zimmer's score all on a massive IMAX screen, I could only watch in awe.

Speaking of Batman/Bane fighting...when watching this the first time, their first fight was so painful to watch. I knew it was coming, I knew Batman was going to lose that initial fight, and get his back broken and all that. But damn I was just cringing at how inept he was going up against Bane. It was very well done imo.

Makes me wish that the second fight at the end lasted a while longer.

One thing I really liked about the first fight was that every time Batman was hit, you heard Bruce grunt. Not Batman, Bruce.

As we know throughout this series, any time the mask is on, no matter who he's talking to, he always puts on the gruff voice. Here, he was being so pulverized, he couldn't even fake having a different voice when he let out his oofs. He was just Bruce there, basically saying, "What am I doing here?"

You're right about their last fight. Once they went inside, I thought it was going to be a bit more personal and be like the "second half" of the fight. It kind of ended shortly after, though.

I didn't get the point of Pavel's blood transfusion or whatever Bane was doing with him.

For hope. Bane said despair can't happen without hope. He wanted to show Gotham the man that could save them before he killed him. And he did the transfusion so they wouldn't look for the doctor after the capture.
