Now I don't doubt any of Nolan's decisions, so obviously he sees something in him. Again, don't doubt anybody right now... just doubt any talks about a Robin, because I know he doesn't want that.

Guys, Nolan wouldn't do this if he didn't think it was right (assuming this is true). Btu honestly, I doubt they even have a good working rough script yet. Any casting decisions IMO have not really been made, but I really don't know.

If this works out for Murphy, at least it will be a good way for him to get some rep points back.

Maybe its Eddie's time to shine. C-mon Eddie Murphy as the riddler is pure win I thought Nolan didn't want the riddle because he's a bit to similar in some repects to the joker.

About Eddie, if it does end up being true, i wouldn't frown about it. I remember when pics first leaked on the joker and everyone was talking trash about heath being the joker. And now look at what he did to that role. I'm sure Nolan has a reason for picking mr. Murphy if this is true.

But No CATWOMEN, robin...... i wouldn't mind as much if they reinvent him. We don't need to know about his silly circus family.

Eddie Murphy as the Riddler, barring some amazing breakthrough performance by Murphy, would come as close to making me not want to see this movie as I could get.

I'm hoping (praying) it is just a rumor like Depp and PSH were because, thinking about it, Murphy does nothing for me, and honestly I would view the third movie as a joke if he were in it. I can't seem him playing a part in Nolan's Batman Universe. I could see him fitting in with the older movies (Probably could've had him instead of JC and been fine) but in the new series...no ****in' way.

Eddie might surprise some people and show some range in his acting like when he played the character in Dream girls.

If they make Eddie the Riddler they will not lose any audience.

I really doubt that this is true. Fox News is probably just reporting what the other people said. ESPN does this, so why can't regular news groups join in?

are people against eddie because his last couple of movies sucked? or they dont think he a good character actor? or he dont resemble how the Riddler is like physically in the comic books? I would like to know

I look at it like this, if the role is written well enough Eddie Murphy will be able to get into the correct character mode and play the role how the director wants it to be played or whomever they pick for the role if its not Eddie

LOL how gullible are some of you people. Eddie Murphy is not playing the Riddler. Nolan himself stated 2 weeks ago that he hasn't even thought about directing a 3rd movie and would have to get together with this brother and see if they can make a compelling story or they won't do it.

If Murphy is the Riddler and LeBouf is Robin it won't be any movie that Nolan is directing or Bale is starring in. Murphy has as much acting chops as a safety pin. That's not thinking outside the box, that's thinking outside the galaxy.
